So Slow
Took just under 3 hours to play 9. Also started about 20 minutes late. One hole had a 20 minute wait.

Pro Bowl Golf
I have nothing but respect for the challenges the staff is faced with at this golf course. The cross between golfers who truly understand the rules of golf and speed of play and respect for those playing groups who are behind them. Its a win/loss situation when the course Marshals attempt to have groups speed up when they are playing slow. We had a group that was 2 holes behind at the 4th hole as a result we had a 3 hour front 9 and asked as was given a raincheck which was granted. Great job by them hopefully people will do better playing golf. and time management. The staff will continue to get kudos for listening and being apologetically sincere.

Waste of time
It was the longest round I have ever played. Stacked up 2-3-4 foursomes on each hole. 6 1/2 hours. Poorly managed. The course was a cow pasture. Greens are pebbled like a curling rink. I wouldn't play again if you paid me.

A little rough
This course hasn’t been in the best of shape for the last few years , but the greens are usually pretty playable!
You’ll just have to bump the ball up and move it around in the fairways thru to the greens . The staff are always really friendly and pretty good at pairing people up so u don’t get behind a bunch of singles stuck inbtween the foursomes! Play is usually at a decent pace

Your get what you pay for on this. Corde greens are good but some fairways are in bed shape for now

On a monday
The course is very beat up from the storm last Thursday. Lots of mud and debris on the fairways. The greens are pretty good. It took 5 hours to play today. We waited to play on every hole except 1 and 2.

This course sucks
Course has not been watered or kept up in years. Carts a junk. Fairways are like concrete. Would never play here again. Ever!!
Work in progress
CV Muni is a good course that needs some tender loving care. If the operator could get the fairways in better condition it would really improve the playing experience. The green improvements are noticeable and much appreciated, let’s carry on the good work!
Great value

Chula Vista Good Course - Value and Convenience
I'm a 13.5 index and the course is just minutes from my house. While the fairways have suffered from the drought, the staff has committed precious water to the maintenance of the greens which are in good shape. The relative flatness of the course is offset by the Sweetwater River which provides a lateral hazard to the majority of the holes and challenges golfers to avoid them which adds to the challenge of the round. Proximity to the coast provides pleasant ocean breezes on warmer days. Attractive green fees and generous resident and senior discounts make the course a challenging and pleasant alternative to a trip to the range at a slight to no differential in price. Give it a go and enjoy the SoCal weather.
Poor condition
Needs work on fairways, greens, t box, and fairways again. Bunkers are nice. IPA beer taste good. Enjoyed the course 10 years ago
