Dos Osos Golf Club
About
Dos Osos Golf Club(formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club) is routed through the scenic San Pasqual Valley. Its secluded location and challenging layout have made Dos Osos one of San Diego's best-kept secrets. The beautiful layout incorporates cascading waterfalls and eight lakes along with colorful wildflowers and rolling green hills. The diverse golf course is a shot maker's layout that is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It measures to a manageable 6,417 yards, but it still offers plenty of challenges. In addition to the water hazards, pristine white sand bunkers add a stark contrast to the lush greens. The golf course is narrow, especially on the front nine, which is tighter and has more tree-lined fairways. The bank nine opens up much more. Dos Osos Golf Club rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategy but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Overall good. Some teeboxes need work. Will definitely play again. Great staff!
Disappointing still
The Course has great bones, and we were assured that the conditions had improved. But it must have been completely horrible. If the current condition would be categorized as improved fairways let alone rough was patchy and super poor. Everything from fairways to greens to cartpath was subpar and they’re getting all the money at $85 based on the condition.
Off The Beaten Path
Midweek must. The course was actually in pretty good condition, save for some off fairway areas. Not a lot of people (I played midweek in the middle of the day). Finally caught up with a threesome of the 10th hole who were waiting on a foursome in front of them. Paced slowed at that point, but was not bad. I was expecting to see a mountain lion or something wild, but the most I saw was a turtle by the waterfall.
Nothing terribly long, so was able to play a lot of mid irons, which really helped my score.
Decent Round
Friendliest staff you will find anywhere. The course is “ good”, it has some really nice holes and you can see the work they are doing. Pace wasn’t bad, little less than 4 1/2, a little slow for a Thursday but it was a great day out.
I will play here again.
Good course for the money
Challenging and fun course for the money. They’ve been doing a lot of improvements since the new management took over and it shows! The greens look a lot better and they got new carts which are nice! The fairways are still undergoing some repairs so they’re not in the best condition, but everything seems to be trending in the right direction!
Play This Track Now!
JC Golf has done a great job bringing this course back to life! The course was in excellent shape. Hole 10 is a fun layout to start the back 9! No hero shots! Play this hole strategically because your score will blow up if you don’t. Highly recommend playing Dos Osos now.
Much better
This course is back to being playable, haven’t played here since 2019 and JC golf has fixed the tee boxes, greens and fairways.
Terrible on course Marshall
Got stuck behind a 5-some with 4 bags. By the time our group got to 18, we were a full 2 holes behind. Made a 4- hour round closer to 5 hours. Fairways still need a lot of work. Greens are finally healing. As a JC course, our group had higher expectations.
Longest Round Ever!!
Had a tee time as a single so I got paired with three other guys which were great guys! Had to wait for carts, no biggie. On about the third hole got behind a big group of Koreans. A group of four women and a group of four men. The women would tee off hit their shots onto the green then move off to the side of the green and wait for the men to get on the green. Then they would all putt out together. Never seen this before. So they ended up having the whole course backed up. Not only that they were leaving trash on the fairways. Had to pick up after them several times. Called the clubhouse but nobody came out. Turned out to be a five and a half hour round.
Unbelievable Improvment
Dos Osos has made an impressive transformation from its Eagle Crest days into a very enjoyable and well-maintained course. I played there yesterday with two friends, and having played it before, I can now confidently say it’s a course you can enjoy from tee to green.
The greens are smooth—comparable to many private clubs—and the clubhouse is welcoming and well-stocked with quality merchandise. The new carts with yardage displays are practical and among the best I’ve used.
Kudos to Head Pro Mike Skala and his staff for their great work. As an avid golfer, I highly recommend this course for its value and overall experience. Glad JC Golf took on the challenge and turned it around.
Not bad. Keeping making it better
From the locals I understand it used to be a complete dog track. Tee boxes are a mess and some rough fairway patches. Greens slow but healthy for sure. Think if they keep working on the overall quality it will be great.
Course conditions are improving
This course is in much better condition that 12
months ago. The course staff and JC management are finally making a comeback to a
Great layout. Keep it up.
Greens look like they were punched a few weeks ago so they were slow and bumpy.
Golf Now Deal
Course had just completed Maintenance on the greens, but is in much better shape than it used to be! No one else playing which was great so we were able to finish before dark.
