About
Blacklake Golf Resort boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nines called the Oaks, Canyons, and Lakes. The nines can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Oaks/Canyons Course is the toughest of the three. The front nine features narrow fairways that wind through mature coastal oaks. If you're not careful, you may find yourself in the woods on this challenging target-style layout. The back nine doesn't get any easier with a layout that tumbles across rolling terrain. With the resort's location on the Nipomo Mesa along California's Central Coast, the elevated tee boxes on the Canyons nine allows for some stunning views. The location also invites refreshing sea breezes. In addition to the three golf courses, there is also a 275-yard driving range available with more than 30 grass and artificial teeing areas as well as three putting, chipping, and pitching greens.

Fun Course
Been playing here for about 30 years and it’s a fun little play for the price. Lakes corse is challenging with the enormous eucalyptus trees, Canyons course can score well with its openness and Oaks Course, keep it in play off the tee. For first time players I suggest the Oaks course for its scenery and then either Lakes or Canyons to follow.
Great deal
You can’t beat the value for an afternoon twilight tee time with cart. I prefer playing canyon & lakes over oaks as the conditions are better there. All in all, amazing value and decent course.

A great day!
The staff was a bit overwhelmed as a result of higher than expected attendance for a tournament earlier in the day so the carts were in high demand. After an easy check-in, we were given tokens for the driving range to accommodate us for the delay. We got on the course only 10 minutes late and the staff was very attentive.
We played the Oaks and then the Canyons and the conditions couldn't have been better. The weather was perfect and the scheduling pace felt like we were alone on the course, even as busy as they were. It was a great day!

Good for the hot deal.
The previous reviews about the fairways are correct. The restrooms are even more municipal than the course itself. On the Oaks course some of the tee offs were very difficult. Trees blocked some wedge shots to the greens even in the center of the fairways. Neglected course OK for $40.

Great Course
First time using Golfnow, I played Blacklake Golf Course in Nipomo, CA. Great Course, great value, great weather. Other than a few boogies and a couple of double boogieis , it was a perfect day.

Needs TLC
I have been playing this course for over a decade. And while it has a great layout and 27 holes, the grounds definitely need some attention ASAP. The fairways are overgrown with weeds, and the greens need attention as well. It is sad to see so much potential that no one taking care of these simple matters that would make this course so much better, like it used to be.

Good layout, maintenance not up to par
Played Lakes/Canyon. Layout was good and makes sure you have to think how to play the hole. Tee boxes are not even and not taken care of. Same goes with fairways. Enjoyable course but the maintenance makes it less appealing to come back.
