About
Blacklake Golf Resort boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nines called the Oaks, Canyons, and Lakes. The nines can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Oaks/Canyons Course is the toughest of the three. The front nine features narrow fairways that wind through mature coastal oaks. If you're not careful, you may find yourself in the woods on this challenging target-style layout. The back nine doesn't get any easier with a layout that tumbles across rolling terrain. With the resort's location on the Nipomo Mesa along California's Central Coast, the elevated tee boxes on the Canyons nine allows for some stunning views. The location also invites refreshing sea breezes. In addition to the three golf courses, there is also a 275-yard driving range available with more than 30 grass and artificial teeing areas as well as three putting, chipping, and pitching greens.

Great value for a great course
Blacklake is a fine course, nicely laid out. The Golf Now price made it great value.

Fun afternoon of golf
Definitely a challenge for someone who had never done 18 holes before. Very nice weather and friendly golfers everywhere made it a great day to find out how much we still need to learn.

Eucalyptus Bark on the fairways
I used to live on the Central Coast and played Black Lake fairly often. It seems like the course conditions have gone downhill since 2019. The bunkers are mostly dirt instead of sand and the eucalyptus bark made it tricky to find the ball on the Canyon Course. It seems like there could be some kind of equipment that could clean up the mess from the eucalyptus trees on a couple of holes. I played Oaks/Canyon.

I Consider Black Lake my home course
Usually play the twilight with my wife and granddaughter do to the cheaper rate, too expensive to play on the weekends. I prefer to play the lakes and canyons but always get placed on the oaks. The staff is always friendly contributing to an overall good experience.

Very nice layout but needs some serious TLC
The course well laid out. Fairways are not maintained, weeds everywhere. Friendly staff but driving range and the course are all falling apart. Sad to see such a nice course in this condition.

Challeging but fair
This course is fun because it consists of 27 holes, allowing for different rounds of 18 to be played each time. The toughest part of the course is teeing off; many holes have tight tee shots through tees. The greens play true and fair and are well kept. There is some sand and water, but you won’t find yourself there often. Overall, this course is enjoyable and reasonably priced.

3 nine hole courses
I prefer the canyons course and the lakes course. The oaks course has a few holes where it's easy to lose your ball in the rough, Even with a good shot

Fun course
Not too busy, had some fun challenging holes. Course was in decent shape except for hole 2. It was under repair. Had some jockos after. Good times
