Oaks/Canyon at Blacklake Golf Course

About
Blacklake Golf Resort boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nines called the Oaks, Canyons, and Lakes. The nines can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Oaks/Canyons Course is the toughest of the three. The front nine features narrow fairways that wind through mature coastal oaks. If you're not careful, you may find yourself in the woods on this challenging target-style layout. The back nine doesn't get any easier with a layout that tumbles across rolling terrain. With the resort's location on the Nipomo Mesa along California's Central Coast, the elevated tee boxes on the Canyons nine allows for some stunning views. The location also invites refreshing sea breezes. In addition to the three golf courses, there is also a 275-yard driving range available with more than 30 grass and artificial teeing areas as well as three putting, chipping, and pitching greens.

Nice course to play
Nice course layout with little danger of getting hit from parallel fairway. Other than the fairway grass being a little sparse, the course is in pretty good condition. They have three separate nine hole courses with provides variety. Overall, it's a nice course to include among your selection.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our golf course. We appreciate your feedback regarding the fairway grass and will take it into consideration for future improvements. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the course layout and the variety of our three separate nine-hole courses.
Poor fairways
Greens were aerated last week. Fairways were not in good shape with very many goffer mounds on every one. Layout was good though with plenty of room to drive the ball.
Overbooked
The last two times showing up for my tee time they have over booked their course. They had no carts due to tournaments being played. I wasn’t able to even get on the course for an hour after my tee time. Having a 3:15 tee time is already tough to get a full 18 hole in let alone starting at 4:15. I really like this course but they shouldn’t be selling tee times to the app unless they can manage the amount of people.
Great day of golf!
Greens are in excellent condition, the rains have significantly improved the entire course!
Range balls
Person at counter outstanding didn’t charge us for pull cart condition of range balls pathetic condition of golf course not great
Merced player
Playing this round just after high winds the night before so with all the trees on their course the leaves and debris from all sorts made fairways and greens very badly maintained and its houses lined every hole that makes all holes narrow and pace was terrible.
Will Definitely Return
It was an overall enjoyable round of golf. They have 27-holes at this facility. It was my first time playing this course and I gave it an overall 4-star score. I played the Canyon-Lakes nines, which the person behind the counter said were the two best nines. For a Saturday 11:30 tee time, pace of play was on point...4hrs, 5mins. Fairways were meh and greens were good. These two nines could play quite difficult if you're not hitting it straight. There are some narrow openings. My favorite hole was the second on the Canyon...a par 5 that is tight as a frogs butt. I had a southwest burger and fries at the turn and it was OUTSTANDING. Seriously, one of the best tasting burgers I've had in a long time. I'll be back!
Great golf course
Course conditions are good, long challenging fairways and difficult greens. All in all a beautiful environment to play. I highly recommend playing Black Lake Golf
