About
Blacklake Golf Resort boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nines called the Oaks, Canyons, and Lakes. The nines can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Oaks/Canyons Course is the toughest of the three. The front nine features narrow fairways that wind through mature coastal oaks. If you're not careful, you may find yourself in the woods on this challenging target-style layout. The back nine doesn't get any easier with a layout that tumbles across rolling terrain. With the resort's location on the Nipomo Mesa along California's Central Coast, the elevated tee boxes on the Canyons nine allows for some stunning views. The location also invites refreshing sea breezes. In addition to the three golf courses, there is also a 275-yard driving range available with more than 30 grass and artificial teeing areas as well as three putting, chipping, and pitching greens.

Nice layout
Course had wonderful variety. Played Canyons and Oaks. Gabby at the restaurant was friendly and made us feel welcomed.
Better play with someone who knows the course.
If you play the Oaks 9 save your dolf balls and just skip 7, 8 and 9 and give yourself 3 triple bogies and go to the next course!

Waste of time and money
Other than the exercise, useless. The course needs water. Almost like biting off dirt. Not even worth the $45 for a round. Go elsewhere.

Needs water.
Dry, dead fairways. Decent greens. Why don’t they sport for new range balls? No dimples left on the ones they have.

The course was fun to play however, the fairway and greens were in need of TLC
I played nine holes at the canyon course. Some of the greens had with appeared seems and in fair condition at best. Most of the fairways were unkept, having brown dead uneven grass with lots of gopher mounds. Even though the grass, both greens and fairways, was not in pristine condition it was still a fun course to play! There were plenty of beautiful, rustic views, and the weather was spectacular.

The course was very fun and challenging, the canyons are one of my favorite 9s. The greens were receptive and well kept. Fairways were hit or miss but i’d say overall decent.

Need Marshals to keep good pace.
Pace was very slow. No Marshals onsite ensuring players don’t linger or take too long looking for lost balls. The pro shop guy wasn’t very friendly or attentive. Better customer service is needed.

NEEDS WATER
Many of the fairways are drying out due to lack of proper irrigation. One one tee box half was green & the other brown.
