Galleon/Brigantine at Shipyard Golf Club

We wanted to start the year out right and Shipyard did not disappoint. While the fairways and rough are dormant, the tees and greens are green and in nice condition. in fact, the greens where is the best shape I've seen them in 3+ years. Glad to see the course is putting some money into the greens as the layout is great with water on almost every hole. Bunkers were also in great shape (I hit too many of those) with very playable and consistent sand. Even saw some wildlife as the temps got up to 65 or so during the day. Overall a great way to start the year and I'll be back for many more rounds in 2023!

I enjoyed my solo outing at Shipyard. Great course for all level of player.

After completing first 9 second 9 was crowded and backed up. The martial handled it well and the game continued. It would have been nice to have a martial with the pace of play information on both second 9s and the ability to direct players to the most open course. Still a great course and one of my favorites.

There were two of us. We were five minutes late for the tee time. The starter kindly put us out in short order. But the two course rangers were rude. We kept up with the group in front, but apparently the rangers didn’t like something about our having been late foe the tee time as they were both rude.

Better condition than in years past. Staff is awesome….

After a lot of rain there were some watery spots but overall well drained. As usual the game was enjoyable and a little challenging. Cart path only was not a problem and the right thing to do.

Course was in very nice shape, especially the greens for December 19. I played as a single and was lucky enough to get through 2 groups fairly early allowing me to finish in 3hr, a smooth 75. Didn’t eat or spend much time in the proshop but it was neat and had a good selection. I would highly recommend playing Shipyard next time you’re on the island.

I play shipyard first when at HHI because it’s forgiving but still challenging. This course is well maintained and prepares me for the types of grass and greens on the island. Of the heritage collection shipyard has the friendliest people and most accommodating.

This was the first time my boyfriend and I had played at this golf course. There weren't many people out playing the day we went which was great so we got to take our time around the course. We saw a bunch of alligators which was awesome. We went to the bar and the bartender made us some fantastic drinks.

We definitely can't wait to go back again.

Would have rated higher but the starter let a six-some out in front of us and it was a 5+ hr round.
