Brigantine/Clipper at Shipyard Golf Club

I have played this course many times in the past and I was really disappointed this time. First, the round was just over $200, next when we were read to go the starter said that they had over 350 golfers booked and to keep pace with the group in front of us which was no problem as we waited on every shot on every hole which made our round over 5 hours!

I was also shocked at how the conditions were, the 2nd hole on the clipper 9 the green was ground under repair and the starter said just putt twice then pick up and move on.

I just saw too many areas on the course that needed attention including the cart paths, which by the way didn’t have any GPS for the price!

The only upside was the layout, the new tee boxes , the bunkers and the amount of alligators we saw. And rather large also!

Can’t really say that I will return as I wasn’t happy with my overall experience, it appears it’s all about the $$$…

We got to the tee 10 minutes early and were informed they put a 2 some ahead of us who didn’t have a time. We were 20 minutes late and from there it took 3 hours to play the front, we played 10 and eleven and things were the same so we quit. Who knows how many other walk ons they took which made it impossible to play

I would not recommend to others. Pace of play was horrendous, staff was average, and the course was not in great condition. The conditions of multiple greens was poor, would not choose to play again.

After skipping Shipyard the last few years, we decided to give it a try . We were able to grab a Hot Deal so the price was worth another try. The conditions were much better than years past. Looks like they are over seeding. There is still a ways to go before I will pay full price on this course. Pace of play was great. I appreciate the forward tees, however they were not available on every hole. This is something very important to your female golfers.

Played here last year twice after their re-seeded the course.it was nice last year but went downhill this year. Fairways were sparse. Greens so so.

Starter was surly. Pace was slow.

Cart girl came around mid round. I was hungry but refuse to spend $8.00 for a lukewarm hot dog. Gimme a break.

Course was in good shape and joined a three-some. We teed off on time and finished in right at 4 hours. Weather was great and pace of play was so much better than I experienced at other courses on the island.

All round a great day on the golf course.

Conditions of the green are ok, but fairway are terrible

Course is excellent condition. Fairways are great and greens are smooth. Greens are a bit slow,but are easy to read. Tees are great with a lot of different distances. Beer girl got all over the course and saw her a couple times . Driving range and practice greens are well kept. Cart attendants also did a good job. Be nice if you could take carts to your car. Starter did good job taking care of tee times but seemed a bit rattled at times.Your fees are a bit high but the course is very well kept for the amount of play you get. I scheduled a tee time through Golf Now as one golfer but I was informed I was with a threesome? With 27 holes you can get a lot of players golfing but it seems the scheduling needs more times between tee times. Part of the problem is people want to golf but only play a few times a year and really slows things down. This is something that needs to be worked out.
