River Falls Plantation

About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Good course!
The course was in good conditions, like usual. There are some holes where you need to have to be precise as the slope is severe and blind shots. So, you need to need to know the course well to enjoy.
Nice course but poor greens
I always enjoy the course, great layout, great fairways.
They need to figure out these greens, bare bumpy spots.. and they place the flags where the bare spots on the green are..??! Why do this. Put flag where the green is in good shape please.
Golf at RF
Played w/ a good friend, Michael. We had a blast and avoided the rain
Great - but some issues
Course was in about as good of shape as I've ever seen it. Most of the greens were fantastic other than 2 with some sections under repair and a few on the back 9.
For the issues:
-Putting people out in the middle of a tournament is terrible and greedy management.
-Lack of diligence from whomever the starter was. To be fair it was brutally hot out but at least set up a tent/umbrella to make sure things are moving.
-Bunker rakes need to be chucked as they're all rusted and a safety hazard.
Nice Day
I have played this course 4 times this year.
I have enjoyed playing here and I would recommend it most definitely
Mixture of good and bad
The shape of the course is getting a little better. Fairways and Greens are good but several tee boxes are in very bad shape. Don’t waste your money on range balls as the balls are old and you will be hitting off dirt or a mixture of dirt and sand… not worth the money for range use
Bring [lenty of balls
This course is more difficult than most in this area. The course is well kept.
Always good
The best course in the upstate my opinion. The course and staff are always good.
Excellent course
We played this course for the first time and really enjoyed it. It was a bit challenging for us being intermediate golfers, but the scenery is beautiful and the pace of play was very reasonable. The course is pretty narrow so you need to hit your fairways. Plenty of water comes into play and the greens were pretty quick. It's a little far for us as we were visiting my son, but I would definitely play it again given the chance.
🐐🐐🐐
It's the best course in the upstate in my opinion. Staff is always friendly and I would play this course every time if I didn't live so far
I'll be back
From Ohio. Golfed @ 5 other courses in the area this week, and this one was the best bang for your buck. Challenging course, but it was a blast. Elevation changes on almost every hole. Study the course map, because any rangefinding "apps" won't tell you everything you need to know. I'd love to see this place when the grass greens up. Impressive.
Staff was amazing, and very helpful.
I'll definitely be back
