About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Greens were average. Golf cart was dirty and parking brakes did not work

Needed a marshal. Pace of play was horrendous. Players had no golfing etiquette. Other than that the greens were excellent and the course was in great shape

Cool layout
Some really interesting holes - better be hitting it straight when you’re playing here and the greens were pure.

Fun layout
Course was in great conditions from tee to green. I have played here a dozen times or so and always enjoy my rounds. There are a couple quirky hole layouts that make for a very interesting day. Highly recommend for anyone who has not played here before.

Good course
No water jugs on course. No beverage cart coming by. Course not in bad shape. Public course so not everyone repairs their ball marks. Overall not bad! Enjoyed it

Great Friday Morning Round
The course was in great shape especially considering the price. I love this course but I feel at times the course does not feel the same way about me! Requires some clever shots for sure in order to score well.

Tight and short
Very good condition. My biggest issue with the layout is that it is too short and narrow to hit driver very much if you can drive the ball 240 or more.

They could have let the fairway grass grow out a little more, but the course played fair and we very much enjoyed our round.
