About
River Falls Golf Plantation in Duncan is a Gary Player Signature Course. Its location makes it convenient for meeting up with people coming from Asheville, Columbia, Atlanta, or Charlotte. The golf course is also just minutes away from downtown Greenville. The narrow layout will test the accuracy and shot making abilities of even the best golfers. Rolling hills provide a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Water hazards come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens and fairways. Player crafted a golf course that is both formidable and scenic. The abundance of mature trees helped him achieve this. He carefully wove River Falls Golf Plantation through the mature forests, allowing the trees to surround the holes, giving each a secluded and peaceful feel.

Excellent course
We played this course for the first time and really enjoyed it. It was a bit challenging for us being intermediate golfers, but the scenery is beautiful and the pace of play was very reasonable. The course is pretty narrow so you need to hit your fairways. Plenty of water comes into play and the greens were pretty quick. It's a little far for us as we were visiting my son, but I would definitely play it again given the chance.

It's the best course in the upstate in my opinion. Staff is always friendly and I would play this course every time if I didn't live so far
I'll be back
From Ohio. Golfed @ 5 other courses in the area this week, and this one was the best bang for your buck. Challenging course, but it was a blast. Elevation changes on almost every hole. Study the course map, because any rangefinding "apps" won't tell you everything you need to know. I'd love to see this place when the grass greens up. Impressive.
Staff was amazing, and very helpful.

1st Time - Overall Great Course
overall, very good course, better than average layout. greens are fast (which I prefer). staff friendly. pace of play was average considering it was Saturday. Will definitely be back.
Weekend Hacker
Very good course but the place of play was slow...maybe need a ranger to speed up the slow groups. Very nice layout and range.
River Falls never disappoints
I absolutely love this course. It’s one of the best layouts in the greater Greenville/Spartanburg area. Every hole is different and gives the golfer a new challenge to overcome. The conditions area always great!
A good day for flying Solo
I played by myself which was ok the course
However i thought i would have been hooked up with anotet player. There was a foursome in feont of me with no one in front of them in the back nine. They never offered to let me play thru. Apparently the did not read the Rule to allow a single golfer to go ahead of a Foursome. Other then that.
The sun shined all day.
Better then before
Although this round was in the dead of winter it was obvious that a lot of work has been done since my last visit 2 years ago. Much cleaner rough areas and the greens were like a pool table. The layout is just fun. We really enjoyed our round and will be back.
Very Enjoyable Course!
Firs time playing the course. Staff very friendly and courteous.. Amazing water/river views ( and traps LOL) Greens very fast. Very enjoyable round. We will be back!
Very slow
Pace of players was very slow. Didn’t even finish playing 18. Got to 9holes and left.

Overall the course was in excellent condition and loved the layout. Weather was perfect and love the fact we can play in December!

Nice Course
Decent course, in good shape for the winter time. Greens roll very true. Pace of play was 3.5 hours, excellent. The design is a little quirky with some forced layups and weird tee shots. Need to have someone who has played the course before if it is your first time.
I would recommend playing if you are in town.
Nice Golf Course
Played with my brother and had a great day. Course has some challenging holes that require careful shot selection. You can't just hit driver off every par 4 or even 5.
Good shape for October. Staff very friendly.
