LakeRidge Golf Course

LakeRidge is in really good shape right now. Greens are rolling firm and true, and very receptive to approaches.

Course is to wet and greens are to soft Ball plugged in green

On a recent trip to Reno my friends and I played this course since we have played it many times and love it. However, this trip was definitely different. We paid $85 to play on a wet course. It had rained the night before and the grass was still watered. There was about 3" of growth so if you hit your ball anywhere off the fairway you had to have a hoe to get out of the grass. The quality was definitely not what we were used to playing there. We will not be returning.

Fairways need a little work, really wet in some places.

We think the prices should be a little lower like after 2pm for the people that have to work and can't get off until later. The course looks pretty slow after 2pm. I know when I/son talk to our friends we all say the same thing. Make it a little more affordable, run better deals for later in the afternoon.

The course was extremely wet. The tea boxes were spongy the bunkers were in terrible shape and could not even be played out of the greens were so wet when you hit a drive or a fairway shot the ball would plug in the fairway if it did not plug it would be a huge chunk of mud on your ball every time the rough was so tall and so wet you couldn’t even get your club through it the only good thing about the course was the greens were in Decent shape

The course was wet in some spots and dry in others but other than that it was in good shape.

Gorgeous views, challenging but fun layout, great layout. Fifteenth hole really wows people, for good reason. I could play here every day and never be bored.

Course was in solid shape. Some fairways and tee boxes a little rough, but overall not bad. My group had to follow a tournament, so most of the front 9 was not fun. We had to wait on almost every hole from tee to green. Thank goodness they were done at the turn. Speaking of the turn…I had to wait 20-30 minutes to get my food I called in on #9. They had 1 guy trying to help everyone with serving drinks and taking orders. Not ideal when your expecting to run in and get your food so you can get on with your round. After finally getting my food the rest of the round went pretty smooth. #15 lived up to the billing as the signature hole. I would probably play the course again if I came back to Reno, but I’d def ask if there was a tourney that day. For $80 you’d hope a Marshall would be out there moving things along. Solid course, awful pace of play.

we teed off at 7:18 to beat the heat. Good idea except they are watering heave while its still cool. First 3 greens were soaked then they started drying out. Had to dodge sprinklers on several fairway shots. Currently all the Reno courses are letting greens grow long so they don't loose them in the heat.

Such a beautiful picturesque scenery and well managed course let me almost forget the summer heat of close triple digit temperature. Must come back when the weather goes down to under 80’s. Friendly and professional staff who guided us, the first time players, with kind and with details. The marshal even guided us to the photo spots and took pictures for us. Worth driving the hundreds of miles and money. One of the premier courses in my golf itinerary now. Just fantastic. Thanks GolfNow for letting us play at such as the Lakeridge golf at such a good price.
