About
LakeRidge Golf Course is a Robert Trent Jones course that has consistently been voted the "Best of Reno" ever since it first opened in 1969. Though the course sits less than five miles from downtown, the surrounding mountains provide a tucked-away feel. There are some stunning views from the elevated tees but don't get too distracted, this challenging course demands your attention. Mature trees tower over the fairways but they are thankfully wide enough to offer a little room for error. Water comes into play frequently and there are strategically placed bunkers lurking along the undulating greens. Accuracy is essential at LakeRidge Golf Course. The signature hole is the par-3 15th. This tee sits atop a rocky ridge that is perched 140 feet above Lake Stanley. You'll be playing downhill to an island green on this challenging but scenic hole.

Lakeridge
One of my favorite courses but I didn’t appreciate that they were still watering the course during the prime tee times of the day. There were a lot of players already on the course when I teed off after 9:30am yet the sprinklers continued to run until 1:00pm affecting play on the course as well as pace of play.

The course was not in good shape. I have played there for years and this probably the worst.
A lot of water, temporary tee box and no driving range just a net. I play golf at least once a month

Course conditions, tees, fairways and greens were good challenging layout but fair if you use appropriate tee for your skill level. Pace was 4:20. Little slow but tolerable. Staff was friendly.golf net to warm up was great. Don’t think they had a range but not sure. Practice putt and chipping greens were nice. Overall a decent course.
Pace of play nightmare.
The course is in phenomenal shape and the staff in the pro shop are always awesome. There are two concerns that need to be addressed in order to be a 5 star golf course. The first concern is the pace of play. The last three rounds I have played at lakeridge have been 5+ hours and the most recent one we left after 17 holes because it would have taken 30 minutes to play 18. The second concern is the fact that the water was turned on on the last few holes we played and if there is anyone on the course the water should not be turned on. Great course overall but will not be going back until they fix the pace of play issue instead of jamming as many players on the course as possible.
Beverage cart
Few and far between- IMO, payed more attention to the tournaments playing in front of us. Playing on one of the first hot days of the year. Requested a beverage cart more than once and was told we’d see one shortly. Never did. No working drinking water available on the course.
Fun Track
Interesting course, very enjoyable to play. It is highly advisable to stay below the hole on approach shots. Downhill putts are here are treacherous.
