Sunland Village Golf Course
About
Located in the east valley, the Sunland Village Golf Course is an 18-hole course with a traditional layout. The semi-rolling landscape of the course features subtle elevation changes and tall, mature trees sprinkled throughout. The medium-sized greens are slightly undulating and the fairways are tree-lined. There are also ponds on the course that come into play on many holes. A notable hole is the par-3 16th. It is a mere 86 yards, but it requires a precise shot past water to the green. The Sunland Village Golf Course facility has three different putting and chipping greens for golfers to use as well as a driving range.

Sunland Village GC
I have played many executive courses in the east valley, and I feel that Sunland has a very nice layout with a higher level of difficulty than most.
close to home
Right in the neighborhood...good value
Just right for Seniors
Course length is great for Seniors. Practice your short game, and use most of your irons.
Excellent short course
Excellent short course...great for seniors and for better players who want to work on their short game. Nice greens.
Fun 18 hole executive course in execellent condition
You will use every club at this course. Fun track to work on your iron game. Staff is awesome and accommodating.
Fun executive course
Fun course great for your short game. Playing from the front tees can easily get to the green in two on most par 4's. Trouble is hard to find since water hazards are few. Greens in pretty good condition but a little slow. Pretty normal for AZ in August. Can easily complete your round in 2.5 - 3.0 hours in the summer. Staff is very friendly. Food is well priced with large portions. Would definitely play again and recommend this course
A must play!
Great course which I have played many times. The greens were in fantastic shape and the sand in the sand traps had been spruced up -- something not often done in courses in Arizona -- most of the time the sand in most courses is like hard pan. Kudos to the groundskeeper and crew!
Great short Course in Mesa
This was my first time at Sunland Village and I will definitely be coming back. The staff was great, the course was well kept, and the fairways were wide enough that my errant shots did not land me in the water or the rough too often. A great little course to catch a quick round with friends, and very affordable.
This is a short course you can play in a hour and a half
Hit it straight and you'll be rewarded. Hitted crooked and you'll pay the price. The greens were a little slow but easy to putt. There were several par fours that are easily drivable making it very easy to score well. There's not much sand on the course but dont getting these bunkers because there's no sand in the bunkers like hitting out of dirt.
great courze
I played the back nine yesterday Thursday and I really enjoyed the round. I found out that I'm getting really good practice on my short game. Also the course seems to be in reality great shape. Please disregard my last golf review given for my golf round a few days earlier. I made a mistake and rated Poor but meant to rate that round as Excellent. So sorry about that ! Again great course
First time at this course
For a par 62 course it is great. The pace of play was actually good for snowbird season. The course was in good shape. Very good value for money,
Course in great shape
Course is very close to where we are staying. Has a good putting green and driving range.
Fun Short Course
It's a very mature, fun, short course built within a retirement community. We played in a shotgun start on a Sat morning, as were done in less than 3 hours! Course has lots of short par 3's, some nice ponds, and 8 par 4's. Greens were pretty big, and were in nice shape, very smooth.
Great seniors course
Shotgun start but course was fairly open. Completed in about 2 1/2 hrs. Greens in good shape but slow.
beginner - good challenge
I like the pace, and time. The greens were in good shape and the course had a lot of variability for me and challenges.
Great value for your money
Played there in the afternoon, there was hardly anyone at the course. Got to finish 18 in 2.5 hours. Greens were relatively soft but pretty slow. Overall, great experience.
Fun course for your average weekend golfer
Great course for average weekend golfers . We played the course in under 4 hrs. and enjoyed the afternoon weather which stayed in the upper 90,s but great for Az. in August
Great executive course
Played 18 in less than 2 hours. Course was cool as many of the fairways had large mature trees on both sides. Great value. Best executive course that I have played in east valley.
Good practice for the irons
Tee areas were a little rough, otherwise fairways and greens in good shape. Bring your "straight" shots with you because many hole have trees on both sides of fairways. Also in a neighborhood with lots of houses along the fairways.
