Championship at Viewpoint Golf Resort

Pretty good greens, fairways a little barren in spots, but the overall condition was well worth it, and challenging

Showed up at 8 am for my 8:22 tee time. To my surprise I was rudely told I did not have a reservation. Luckily I saved my confirmation number and to Viewpoints surprise they had completely double booked the whole morning…. Yikes. After they finally acknowledged that we actually had a tee time, we had to deal with the gentleman responsible for getting us our carts. I’m a 24 year old man, and the cart guy felt the obligation to follow/harass my party for some unknown reason (probably our age). We eventually got on the course 25 minutes after our initial tee time of 8:22am. Throughout this whole process there wasn’t a single apology and the staff at viewpoint made my party feel like we were responsible for their mistake the entire time.

Try to play here often but sometimes can be hit or miss. Today was a hit. Paired with two other players who were also there to have fun and play good golf. Pace was great. Tee boxes and some fairways were a bit sparse but playing group eased that. Greens were sandy and slow. Nice course most of the time with all the adverse weather but it can be better once summer is over. Worth your time, just know they’re doing what they can.

Staff is taking great care of this course over the summer. With the exception of a few bare tee boxes, the course was beautiful! Will definitely return!

I called ahead to be sure the course was open. I called again just before I left and there was no answer. I checked course conditions on the website as suggested by their recorded message and it showed the course was in good shape and open. I arrived for my tee time and the course was closed due to rain. They made no attempt to broadcast the closure on their telephone message or website. They made no attempt to contact me about the closure even though I had a pre-paid tee time and had previously inquired to be sure the course was open.

The fairways are missing grass in many locations. Some members of the staff of been less than friendly.

Staff is rarely friendly which is unfortunate. They cater to their regulars that live there, but treat others terrible. Today was ok until the ranger came by and gave the 3rd member some words about cart path only, and then said to the same to me as he drove through the grass. Come to find out he accused the guy of driving off the path (he was over 400yds away) and didn’t realize 2 of us were playing the tips and parked next to them. Not sure why they are unhappy, but need to learn to smile, be polite and welcoming since the people golfing keep the place open.

There is no grass on the fairways. The service was very poor. At least the price was reasonable.

The service today was incredibly poor. Given the lack of grass on the fairways, I'm surprised they can even stay open at this service level.

A short but enjoyable 18 hole layout; pace of play excellent; staff friendly; playable for all player levels; recent rains have begun to green up the fairways; greens in good shape; a good value for the cost.

I called in advance to ask the condition of the course and was told the fairways were “in transition “.. they were practically dirt! Hard packed dirt!

The carts were clean and the coolers had fresh ice. Check-in was a breeze and we got right on. The course was in decent shape and the greens were in excellent conditions. Pace of play was great.
