About
Located next to several residential areas, the golf course at the Apache Wells Country Club was designed with seniors in mind. With that consideration, the course is mostly flat to make it an easily walkable. The course was originally only a nine-hole course but in 1966, Milt Coggins designed the back nine holes. Trees line many of the fairways and there is also a housing development that runs alongside the fairways. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. Being so close to a residential area, there are many out-of-bounds stakes on both sides. Apache Wells Country Club is open to the public from mid-April to the end of October.

Golfer Reviews
At least the weather was great
We signed up on Golfnow for this course costing us more than the courses rate due to their extra fees. It was a shotgun start with about 90 people all checking in and putting at once. We were the B group starting on #6. At least the starter gave us a sheet with directions to the hole. Following a foursome we waited every shot. The weather was nice and being just a twosome we could take our time with our shots. We did finish before sunset and stopped in the bar/grill for an adult beverage. We decided to return next week, but will book directly with the course this time.
Excellent value!
My wife and I had a great time golfing here. The cart thing is weird - yes, all of the negative reviews about the carts seemed to bear out. Our cart sputtered and stuttered the entire round. But that did nothing to deter our enjoyment. Greens and fairways were a little shaggy from recent overseed but they ran true and the course was a lush green. I shot a 90 (which for me means an 85 if I could putt better).
This is a wonderful course for all but advanced golfers. No hole is overly long, and most are wide enough to take an errant ball. If you have a big slice or hook you will definitely hit houses. A fellow playing in the group behind us was an obvious single digit hcp and by my estimate probably shot in the low 70s.
Awesome course
Fun times. Excellent course even for a beginner like me. Greens are smooth like a carpet.
Fairways
Cut short great roll, greens are still nice...about to overseed
Wide open for your long clubs
Greens and fairways in excellent shape. Bathrooms are all clean, everyone we ran into was in a great mood. Made a great day of golfing.
Carts
The carts were in terrible condition. I got in one and returned it because it was jerking. Told the guy at the counter it was bad and he just said they are all having problems. The second cart was doing the same thing. They told us to take it anyway so we did. It was horrible. So frustrating. It was so slow
Nice course, bad carts
Course is in pretty good shape. Greens rolled true, fairways were nice. Very good for the cheap price. The golf carts have serious problems. I called the pro shop on the 4th tee to tell them my cart was sputtering and the battery light was blinking, and the guy very rudely told me that all their carts had issues so just deal with it. It barley made it to the turn where I switched to a new one that didn’t have any issue. So, staff sucks and be wary of the carts, but don’t let that ruin a good day of golf.
Excellent value
Although this is a shorter course than most, it is a great value. I normally play from men's tees, but play from tips here. course in very good condition for late August, greens well kept and both fairways & rough are in very good shape. No beverage cart or open grill on Mon-Wed is the only issue I would state as undesirable. However, if you just want to play on a good course, this is a fine choice. Nice housing lines the course, so it is always a beautiful place to play. The course conditions have been handled very well in this ridiculous heat.
Nice Course
Very nice course that you can use all of your clubs on.
