Encanto Golf Course

Good course for the price. Played at a good pace but found the course "showing it's age".....bunkers need sand. Patches of brown throughout the course

Feb 26, first time on the course. Fairways in good condition, greens were beautiful. Very good value thru Golf Now. 2 complaints: 1. Pace of play. Looks like they have 8-minute tee times which should be enough but we waited, at times with another group, on every hole until it finally started to spread out a bit around hole 13. Need a good ranger out there to keep it moving. 2. Crossing that busy road to reach the back was downright scary. We did not see any signs alerting traffic to golf cart crossing; might have been there but we were too focused on trying to get across safely to notice. There was no yielding to golf carts whatsoever.

From the tips, course has several strong par-3s and par-4s, with the remaining holes more moderate. Busy day but found the pace of play quite reasonable. Good experience for a reasonable green fee.

The greens in great shape, fairways very good. Loved the view, downtown skyline with tall palm trees all over the place

Encanto is an old course, and shows its age and pedigree at this time of year. Fairways are thin and patchy, sand in the bunkers is too sparse, rough is all dead Bermuda. Even the driving range is chewed up, with no grass in many spots. But greens were fast and basically true. Pace of play was fine for the most part with foursomes ahead and behind.

It was a fun day except for the delay, I haven't played this course in many years. I use to play it much more when I lived in Phoenix.

Greens are very fast, back 9 long and monotonous. Front 9 more interesting and a bit easier. Very well maintained and friendly. Nice park area. Not so good for women, especially back 9. I will try it again...maybe the par 3 is better for me. Husband did well...he's a much better golfer!

The greens run true and played nice - we enjoyed the course. Was a bit frustrating waiting on every hole of the front nine. On one par 3 one group was leaving, 2 groups waiting, while the 4th was coming up. Not sure if it was a bit of a frost delay or what but near 5 hour rounds are not good for golf. Must have been a jam up with 9 hole players because the back nine did play more normal - thanks to that! Always good to have a marshall keep an eye on pace of play.

The course was very wet from the recent rain so no carts. Even with all the rain the greens were very quick and obviously very respective. Pace was under 4 hours. Only issue would be the bunks which need more sand. Fun course to play

After booking & arriving we found out that no Power Carts on the course.......We were given a pull cart for FREE.....WE paid for a power cart.
It was an easy walk.

This course is adequate for a day of leisure golf. Old course, OK condition, $33 deal made it affordable. Holes are close together, so many "close calls" from other fairways. Pace of play was slow.

Great golf coarse, great weather, needs a marshal there to watch for players going very slow and blocking others.

Pace of play ridiculously slow, greens in very poor condition. Hole cuts jagged & scraggly. Won't play here again.

Fairways were thin and wet. Have to be right on the money with your irons. Greens were excellent....

Had never played this muni before, so we decided to check it out. It is a flat, open golf course, but with greens that are first class. Greens are in very good condition and very fast, beyond what you might expect at a public course. A few of the par 4's are 400 + yards from the white tees and really challenging. A nice golf experience and we'll play here again.

Came out of overseeding in really good shape! Greens were really rolling well - probably stimping around 9 1/2 - 10. Played in 3:40-

The course was good considering it was recently over seeded. The course is flat with reasonable width fairway and greens that are somewhat small but very fair. If you are looking for a fun round of golf at a very good price you can't beat Encanto GC.

Was in city and wanted to try a new place. Played alone but enjoyed day. The course was good, greens are true , but a bit slow. Fairways are wide open and not much trouble, at least on front nine. Minimal rough and easy to find ball. Good place to work on game on a nice day

Rained in the morning but it cleared up and ended up being a nice day except for the wind on the back nine!
Course played fine and the greens were pretty good...the cups were over due to be relocated but they were ok!

A flat and forgiving muni in central Phoenix. Really enjoyed the back-to-basics nature of the course. The greens were some of the best I've played regardless of price.
