Encanto Nine Golf Course

It's an excellent course for beginners or those looking to work on their short game. There are three Par 4's that I used my driver on, so you get some work with your big clubs as well, which makes this an excellent course to learn and practice on.

It's a straight approach on most greens, but the greens themselves are not all straight putts. Secondly, the greens are in excellent condition.

For $11 and still trying to refine my game, this course is perfect.

One Note: GolfNow's directions send you to the pro shop of the big course. The Encanto 9 is off Encanto Rd. around the corner from the big course's pro shop.

Haven't played regularly for some time and thought the grounds, staff and other players were very forgiving and accommodating to someone who hasn't played in a long time.

This is a great course for kids and families. Affordable with very good greens.

Overall, a great experience with the family. A great course for the kids and one where i could sharpen up my short game. There was also good differentiation between the length of the par 3's (and some 4's) which you don't often see on a 9 hole course. The only thing that we didn't like was letting a few groups start on hole 2 and 5 (seemed odd and caused delays). The greens were also fantastic! Overall a great experience and very reasonable fees!

My friend and I took our young sons to play and were rushed all day because of a 20 foursome mens club behind us. They should not have large groups like that playing at courses designed for beginners.

Came to visit my daughter and planned on playing somewhere as a single. Then my daughter's roommate to play with me...she's a beginner. I choose this course on the proximity and price. It was what I expected until we were on the course. It really surprised me was the condition of the greens. I felt like I was stealing from them for what I paid to play a course in this shape.

We didn't have time for a full round of golf so we decided to go for a par 3 course. This course actually has a couple par 4s. It was a little slow, but it was still fun.

For being a smaller 9 hole def is worth the buck.
wouldn't mind having 1 more par 4 and 1 less par 3 to give players a lil bit more for the experience.

Course in very good condition on a beautiful day - sunny but not too hot (just right). Lots of seniors; probably lots of locals. Golfers laid back; no one pressing to speed up play. Great course to work on short game.

Very good short course very conveniently located near downtown Phoenix, nice break for seniors between 18 hole rounds, Located in Encanto Park across from regulation 18 hole course.

I have played this course numerous times in the past and this is the best shape it has ever been. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape.

Took me an hour to play, no groups holding me up and no one pushing me. The winter grass is in good shape now, greens are rolling nice.

This is a nice course in central Phoenix near the fair grounds. The course is well kept and offeres a putting green to practice but no driving range. Great price and a nice way to start the day.

I found the staff very friendly, The weather typical for August in AZ, The course in good shape considering we have not had much rain.Greens a T boxes were great.

course is great for beginners and intermediate players. has a good mix of holes and is quite fun to play. 3rd time playing there.

I took my girlfriend here to play 9 holes. It is absolutely the perfect place for true beginners. Wide open, no traps or water and a very casual atmosphere. There are three short par 4's where I hit my driver and several par 3's in the 175 yard range. The remaining par 3's are wedges/9 irons. Perfect place for beginners and a low handicapper will have fun, too.

This course is a lot of fun to play, especially if you are a hack like me. There were very few people on the course, so I played very comfortably with no pressure to hurry. Eight dollars included a cart: awesome deal!

Good course for 9 holes of walking. Kind of slow playing. I wanted to hook up with others but they preferred to play alone slow the pace was slow and had to wait on every shot. No matter though. I had a good time and got in some good practice.

Great for getting your swing down and for catching
up with friends.

Played a quick nine for the afternoon. This course won't be hosting any PGA tournaments, but it's a great executive nine.
