The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

City Jewel with wonder vista’s and pleasant to walk

Only 1 complaint!

There isn’t a tee option rated between the Silver at 6,403 and Gold at 5,952.

We played the Silver tees but move up to the Golds on the hardest 5 holes (1,4,9,12 and 18) which reduced the Silver yardage by 132 yards. The 6,271 played perfectly find and gave some hope I could reach the longest par 4’s, I’m thankful a couple guys I joined suggested we do this…

Greens were smooth large and had consistency with all rolling fast and fair. Was surprised to see the over-seeding extended beyond some of the fairway’s and was plush around the greens with all bunkers filled full with sand and groomed for play.

Practice areas for driving, putting and chipping were all available and near the first tee.

The entire day was so enjoyable I will be back as Chad sold me the city card before I even experienced this wonderful course. I’ll obviously be back and would like to thank the city of Phoenix for their efforts to keep the course in great condition. I say play it and play it often! Each hole is like unwrapping a well thought out gift.

Having tee time at 2.38 pm on Sunday it's very bad idea as finishing 18 holes is NOT possible when some groups are playing at slower pace , so than with the premium price IS NOT WORTH playing this course!!

1st time playing Aguila

I absolutely loved this course, very well maintained and fun to play. The only problem was the pace of play, absolutely awful!! There were no rangers, and as busy as this course looks to be every day, why not? I'd love to play it again, but hopefully not as slow. It took us almost 6 hours to play, that's not acceptable. I would have rated the course 5 stars if it were not for pace of play being so bad!

Wonderful

I really enjoy playing Aguila. Best bang for you buck. Wide open spaces can hit it a mile, desert isn’t an issue. Fairway are wide and green pace is a little slow didn’t get to finish DLL 18 and started at 2:24.

Underrated!

Aguila Is such an underrated course and facility. Fun layout, great condition and a better value. The facilities are straightforward, no frills but has all the things. The staff is tremendous. The only kink is the pace of play is slower then I like but better than some other courses that are close.
