Aguila Golf Course

We played a week or so after it reopened after the Fall overseeding. The course was beautiful. The only issues were that the greens were lush but a bit slow, and it was cartpath-only for carts to let the new grass mature. That led to a few long trudges across fairways with a handful of clubs because we didn't know the exact yardages until we got to the ball. All in all though, it was a great experience, highly recommended.

The course is in very good condition for this time of year. The rough makes life tough, as it should. Greens are in fair condition after aeration but tend to move right around the cup. The elevation changes make Aguila a great test and a fun day of golf.

This course is in excellent shape, awesome views, and the tea boxes, greens and fairways are all green and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this course.

Horrible pace of play - 5.5 hours with an 11:30am tee time. No course ranger the entire round, a lot of bad golfers with poor etiquette. There’s better places to go play under 4.5 hours.

No course marshall with horrible pace of play. Quit after 12 holes because most holes had 3 groups on every hole from tee box to green. Course is in decent shape, but avoid if you’re looking for a round under 5.5 hours. There are many better course that are managed better with course rangers to enforce pace/ golf etiquette. Won’t play here again.

Best course I've played all season, do your self a favor and check it out ! P.S. they actually have sand in the sand traps 👍

What a great experience from the staff to the guys I was paired up with. I booked a single spot early, when I arrived they had a downed system but told me they would probably get me out early if wanted. I was grateful, she also told me since the system is down I may to check back in at the turn or when I had time to complete my sign in/pay for the round. I was very impressed with how courteous the whole team was, the pro shop and starter who worked me in. I even played with 2 guys that were great. The course is over an hour away but this is how you get repeat customers. Thank for the great time.

Temp green on #1, and temp tee box on #6 (forces everyone to hit from red teebox) - So kind of a bummer right now, but it is cool they are making effort to make the place better! Other than that great golf here right now.

For conditions and play-ability, this the best city course in town. Beautiful mountain backdrops, very walkable, well-maintained fairways, tees and greens. Friendly staff, grass tee driving range and most affordable buckets in town. This course is very busy and caters to its community w city tournaments, First Tee, high school state tournaments and Drive,Chip and Putt competitions.

Silver tees are most popular, but I suggest a combination card to shorten 4, 9, 12 and 18 to the gold tees, as those are currently 420-430 yds.

Added bonus: a par 3 9-hole course that accepts walk-ups and free replays. Where you going to find that, these days?
