Aguila Golf Course
About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Aguila summer golf
Typically Aguila - some fairway spotty patches, greens were really good
Luigi and Yoshi
Fast fair way, fast greens. No cooler on cart. Took bags of ice.
Long round. Two 3's and two 5's on front and back 9.
Mostly straight. Two holes going left. Hard day for slicers.
Always a good option
Aguilla is pretty good all around course, but as a muni you can't beat it. The conditions there are just as good or better as many scottsdale courses that charge twice the price. I played 5/17/26 - it was dry and getting crispy in the fairways as is the case everywhere in PHX once May rolls around. But the lies were all fine in the fairways, and in the first cut too there were very few bare dirt areas that weren't there on purpose. The greens were firm fast and I didn't have one bad roll all day. Great conditions, Exceptional really -for a Muni. The layout is varied, fun, and several risk-reward holes and teeing options make this course my top west valley course if im looking for a lower-cost option. I can afford to play anywhere, and I'm a big fan of Aguilla!
Best Bang for Your Buck Anywhere
The course is in great shape. Some spots are burning up but compared to most places in the valley it is in great shape. The greens aren’t in as good shape due to wear and tear and new grass growing in, but overall pretty good. Definitely going to come back!
Challenging but enjoyable
Very tight with great landing areas. Fast greens but in very good conditions. Fabulous patrons to play with.
In good shape
I found the course to be in nice shape, greens were fair and while there were a few bald spots in the fairway, they weren’t the overwatered kind of lies you find at other tracks.
Awesome
Possibly the best municipal I’ve ever played, tee boxes like carpet. Fairways immaculate and greens in great condition 👍🏼
Just a good place to go get some inexpensive swings in
Flat par 3, good place for kids and beginners or if you just want to get some iron practice in
