Oakcreek Country Club is situated amongst Sedona's red rock mountains, providing unique scenery throughout. Opened over 40 years ago, it is Sedona's first golf course. The course was a collaboration between Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and his son. It is a classic, player-friendly layout that offers plenty of room for error. There are also several opportunities to recover errant shots incorporated into the design. Despite its forgiving nature, the golf course definitely has its challenges. There are tree-lined fairways with bunkers strategically positioned in the landing areas and elevated greens bordered by large, swirling bunkers. Three lakes also come into play on five holes. Oakcreek Country Club requires accuracy as well as length in order to score well. Next to the clubhouse there are extensive practice facilities including a large driving range with target areas, a practice green, putting and chipping greens, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Beautiful course! Good value!

This is a beautiful course with views of the red rocks on most holes. We only played the back nine, because an afternoon tee time only allows for nine hole before sunset in February. The course offers an 11am shotgun each day. We are from North Dakota, and I would definitely plan to play 18 at 11am the next time we visit instead of the nine holes in the afternoon.

Tricky Greens

This is one of the most beautiful courses in Arizona in my opinion. Every hole is different. The greens are really challenging because of the mountain’s effects. I keep coming back because they make me think. So fast sometimes but hard to see. Fairways great , rough is consistent and long enough to make any errant shots play more difficult which should happen. Overall a great course that pleases the eye and plays the way a quality golf course should. Great value for the money.
