Willowcreek Golf Course
About
Willowcreek Golf Course in Sun City has one regulation length 18-hole course, the Willowcreek Course, as well as one executive length course, the Willowbrook Course. The traditional layout of the Willowcreek Course features three lakes that form water hazards that come into play on four holes. The course is relatively flat but there are some minor rolling hills that cause uneven lies. The fairways and greens are consistently in good condition on both courses and they are both considered very user-friendly. The Willowcreek Golf Course facility used to be private but it is now open to the public.

Wind was making it tough to play but just made it that much more challenging. Course was in great shape
Course conditions
Greens had nice speed, you can attack the pins. Sand Traps, Fairways & tees where all in good shape. The only down fall for this course is the pro shop the starters have no clue what there doing. Very pathetic
A gem of a find
I live in mesa, and to come out to play on the west side of town, and find this gem was a huge plus. Great facilty and course, will definitely play again.
Fun layout, Cart not included
Nice layout I'm just a bit of caution when you book on golf now that it does not include a card The course is always in decent shape for a sun City public course
Course Conditions
Greens had good speed, sand traps where soft, tees & Fairways where nice. The staff was horrible! Get people who know what they are doing to work behind the counter.
golf now not showing that the cart not included in dollars paid golf now
golf course is very good !!! it has been 6 weeks from the first time I called golf now and advised them that all sun city courses was charging cart fees, as of today may 7th 2020.it is still not noted on the tee times cart extra ????????????????. butch 42.52 +25.52 for cart
OVERPRICED !! Cart cost $$
Recently Willowcreek started charging $25 for a cart, Golfnow Hot Deal is $20 Then the course charges another $25 for the cart so this is when it's over 100 degrees out, I have played this course for at least 15 yrs & about 25 rounds per year. BUT NOT ANYMORE ! I will not be back. many other courses that will give a better price in the HOT weather of Arizona..goodbye Willowcreek.
Newbie on an oldie
What a pleasant surprise to find a layout in a well preserved Sun City golf course. I could play it everyday. Kudos to the course superintendent.
Price was right
The course is a good course for everyday golfers like me. I play okay but not great. The course lets you play without to many places where you lose balls on missed shots.
I would play again.
Much improved since overseed but...
The greens were in better shape then last year before the overseed but I wonder if after that rye grass starts to die if they will return to being in poor condition. For now, though it is in decent enough condition to be enjoyable....
Not your ordinary Sun City course
Course is in very good condition. The greens are pretty soft, so there are a lot of ball marks that all the selfish golfers don’t fix. Excellent layout, challenging the average player. Two major negatives - almost all holes on front nine slope towards the creek and even if you hit on the fairway, with a little slice, there is no rough to stop your ball from going in. On the back nine, 14th hole is a nightmare. I hit my second shot, it hit short of the green, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAIRWAY, and rolled into the water. Second negative - FIVESOMES.. THey’re everywhere. I don’t understand why Sun City lets 5-Somes out as a matter of course. Really slows down the play. We had no one ahead of us (we were 3) and when we got to #5, a long par 3, there were a 4-some and two fivesomes ahead of us. The play grinded to a halt. Please stop this practice!,!
Another good day
Greens are much better this year. Really enjoyed
the round,
Going Downhill!
Course has really declined in the past few years. Greens were redone last year but still extremely hard and in poor shape. Fairways not even close to great condition of other Sun City courses. Missing a fairway will put your ball on the concrete grass and roll into the water.
Five somes all over the course for a weekend! Crazy.
Very disappointed and will not play the course again unless major improvements are made.
Fivesome
Willowcreek along with the other Sun City Association courses are the only courses in the Phoenix Valley I know of that allow fivesomes. With our fivesome today it took four and a half hours to play. The talk in the golf world now is how to speed up play. The Sun City Golf Association just doesn't get it.
Not a fan of crossover program
We finished front nine in 1hr 35 minutes. Had to wait to tee off on 10 for 1/2 hour because we played front to fast.
Greens had a few unrepaired ball marks.
