Willowcreek Golf Course
About
Willowcreek Golf Course in Sun City has one regulation length 18-hole course, the Willowcreek Course, as well as one executive length course, the Willowbrook Course. The traditional layout of the Willowcreek Course features three lakes that form water hazards that come into play on four holes. The course is relatively flat but there are some minor rolling hills that cause uneven lies. The fairways and greens are consistently in good condition on both courses and they are both considered very user-friendly. The Willowcreek Golf Course facility used to be private but it is now open to the public.

Enjoyed playing this course
Nice course for the average player. Fairly flat, wide fairways and nice greens. The course was in good condition. The roughs are pretty dry and the creeks can be a hassle but manageable. The biggest problem is the 5 somes that the management allows which slows down.play. We still enjoyed are round.
pace of play
I had a 12:30 pm booking and actually went out early. The course is in great shape and the greens are very good.Totally surprised when we finished in under 4 hrs.Great weather and a great time
Another great find!
We play a few times a week and have been trying out some Sun City courses. This one is a keeper!!!
Unfortunately it didn't work out. When I got to the course I was told that there was a women's tournament going on and the wait would be very long. I was able to get a tee time at another course so left. So I paid the golf now fee for nothing.
Slowdown
Due to the late start of a 9 hole tournament on adjoining course made for a very slow front nine. Back nine played in less than two hours. Green and fairways in great shape!!
Quick round
Was able to play the course in about 3.5 hours in a foursome with a 1PM tee time. It was cool and windy following an overnight rain. The course was cart path only which led to quite a bit of walking (estimated from my gps as 3.5 miles beyond cart movement. Course was in good shape and I enjoyed the round
Great finishing holes
A typical Sun City course, plenty wide, easy to play low cut rough, nice fairways, good greens which are probably a little too firm. The creek is a small concrete culvert which is along the right side of almost every hole. This culvert is dry most of the time so feel free to play out of it if you wish.
The back 9 seems more appealing to me. The final few holes are quite pretty.
Friends
A pleasant experience together with good friends. The course was in good shape.
Willowbrook
Enjoyed playing Willowbrook very much. Was welcomed to the course by Bob when we got there. Course was in very good shape. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in excellent shape. Only negative was the course allowing fivesomes. We ended playing as a twosome but we had two fivesomes in front of us. Their pace was pretty good but we ended up waiting on every hole for our next shot. Probably added at least a hour to our time over 18 holes.
Greens in excellent condition
The course is in good shape, greens excellent, but play was very slow. The fellow that joined us had a book to read between holes!!
Cold weather
Weather was very cold and windy at t time 8:37., But after teeing off and getting a little bit warmer, the course and greens in excellent condition, we soon forgot about the cold and wind and conditioned ourselves to that type of play.
Lot of people dropped out from the extreme cold.
We played on and had a great time. Thank you Willowcreek staff.
great value
Willowcreek is in good shape, has a variety of holes and is great value...
WC
Pace a little slow for front 9 excelleent on back, played in about 4 hours. carts very clen and great shape.
Major in Minors
I booked tee time through GolfNow and the course charged me additional money for a cart when I got there. Pro shop employee, (Bob) would not correct the overcharge and said it was the websites fault.
Excellent Sun City course
Great Sun City, Arizona course. Most players are members or Sun City residents. Greens run moderately quick, fair variety of challenging holes (won't beat you up), friendly staff, & best of all, excellent price for peak winter pricing. If you're on the west side of the valley, give it try. For the money, it's worth the trip.
Great for golfers that don"t play much
Very good course for what I paid due to some rewards The rewards program is excellent for getting special ricing.
