Sun City Country Club
About
The golf course at the Sun City Country Club provides a challenging championship course in an elegant setting. The semi-private course has a tight layout with fairways that are lined with trees and bushes. The trees provide plenty of shade, a welcome asset on sunny days. The greens play at medium speed and they are consistently in good condition. Several of the greens are elevated and sloped. A water hazard comes into play on three holes on the course. The seventh, a 153-yard, par-3, hole is the signature hole. It requires a tee shot over water that has to carry at least 125 yards. The upscale Sun City Country Club offers fine dining options as well as an experienced and helpful on-site golf pro.

Sun City Country Club
The course was in excellent condition especially since they had just finished their over seeding and this was the first time carts had been allowed on the course. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Very good value
Scalped and ready for overseed should have been closed
Should get a refund
I will start off by saying I have played this course multiple times in the past and it typically is in better than average condition. HOWEVER, this past Sunday (9/29) they had the fairways and greens scalped for overseed. Still charged us full price. The course was hardly playable. Fairways were mostly dirt… greens were scalped and so hard and fast they were not even playable. Couldn’t hold the green even with a sand wedge in hand. You can tell there was no water on this course for a while. It should have been open for play. And the grouchy gentleman in the pro shop should have some customer service training. Sorry for bothering you to take my payment for play. Sheesh! Pretty disappointed this time around.
Bad conditions
This course was in the worst shape of any course I’ve ever played. Besides the conditions, I’d assume that there would be some water stations as the temp was Way over 100 degrees and if you aren’t by the clubhouse there is no water. I would not play or recommended this course.
Avoid at all costs
There isn’t a dollar amount that you could pay to say it was worth the money. Right now taking money from golfers for this course is robbery. Scalped everything and dirt is what you are paying to play on. Golf now has no warning. The warning is on the front door which you see once it’s too late to cancel. Wasted money and time playing this course and besides the gentleman in the golf shop…. The rest of the staff is awful. Not friendly nor do they try to hid talking crap about someone for ordering “just one beer”. It’s $6 for a beer so yeah I’ll take one now and maybe another after nine if we are dumb enough to keep playing the course lol
The bright side- you’ll hit long drives;)
Pace of play
I have played this course many times over the years, always friendly people! You will hit a tree, lol.
I started at 11 am and was done with 18 before 1 pm
Great deal, great course.
Muddy patches on the fairways.
This course is in bad shape. The fairways have a lot of very standing water muddy. No water in the ball washer. Even after I brought it to the staff. I have played on this course before. I've never seen it in this shape before. I'm wondering if they have let their groundkeeper go or they just don't care to maintain the course during the summer.
Good summer condition. Nice course
The course is challenging and fun to play. It was in good summer condition.
Good Shape
First time playing SCCC this summer and pleased they backed their rates a little. Course in good shape all around. Play a little slow but tolerable.
