Desert Mirage Golf Course
About
Desert Mirage Golf Course offers a public, nine-hole course and a fully stocked pro shop. The course has a traditional design but that does not mean it is boring. It is perfect for squeezing in a quick game or for beginners and kids. The course is relatively flat, but there are some hills on the course that can affect shots. The greens are medium sized with some slight undulation and the generous fairways are wide open. There are also water hazards and bunkers that come into play on a few of the holes. Desert Mirage Golf Course's signature hole is the par-4 ninth. It requires a tee shot over a lake to an island green.

Horrible Treatment by Staff
Was told there were no carts available as i waited for my tee time. I proceeded to watch 10-20 carts given to other golfers with later tee times but with a different skin color than me. I kept checking back when it’d b my turn but was never provided a cart as my tee time passed. This establishment didn’t want me on their course and i don’t know why. I am never quick to point my finger at racism but this was a clear example as i watched employee disrespect and disregard my existence.
Worst over-hyped course in Phoenix
After seeing so many Golf Ranch ads on IG I was curious about this course. I arrived and realized it was total chaos and disorganized. There were no carts available and a group of about 15 people clustered by the building. All the people who work there seemed very confused. There was no Marshall directing the flow or order of cart assignment. I started asking everyone their golf time and that is how we gained clarity on who got the next cart. Finally, a couple carts started trickling in and only one person was cleaning the carts and there was a pause on that. They gave the cart to the nearest person to them so we then started going into the golf shop to ask for a key. None of it made sense. By this point it’s 20 minutes past my tee off time (10:48). We finally get a cart and tee off and the course is very poorly maintained with small ravines veining across all the fairways. I’m surprised someone built a course on this bad land. The cart paths are junky, they have small black poles everywhere right at shin height and I now have a scratch on my leg. The course layout was whack and the driving range was also subpar. I feel like this course should refund my money and reimburse me the gas money for the 30 minutes it took to get there.
‘Grow the game’ course
If you’re familiar with the Golf Ranch guys from social media then you should know what to expect at this course. This is their first time venturing into managing a course rather than just a driving range and it shows. Course is in rough shape from tee box to green, range balls littered throughout multiple holes and serious pace of play issues. Peoria Pines and Bellair both offer much more polished short course experiences in the West Valley. Hope this place gets better as time goes on but ealry indications aren’t great. Also they should probably use spell check when making signs…
A fun course
We were visiting the area from Canada and played 9 holes here. It was a fun course and we loved the length of the holes. It was a good facility with a driving range, putting area and the people in the pro shop were very friendly.
Definitely worth it!!!
It is a short course, but you know that. It is worth the money. The holes are not complicated, but have some challenge to them. I walked It and it was great! The real star of this facility is the driving range! The range itself is okay but the range bays are very very nice!!!
Good course for the value
For a short course, the greens are good, fairways are decent, tee boxes could use some love. The course layout is good, very clean. Definitely recommended for beginners learning.
In and out in 2 hrs
Nice driving range with Trakman. Great place to get a quick bucket and 9 holes in to work on your short game.
Great Value
Nice course for a quick round of golf. Very nice driving facility with Trackman. Outside food and beverage coming soon.
Good Pace, Solid Conditions, Strong Value
I had a 7:04 AM tee time and finished around 8:55AM which made for a really enjoyable round. While I did notice a couple of groups behind us waiting on some tee boxes, the overall pace of play was reasonable. It was also great to see a ranger actively monitoring the course and keeping things moving.
The course itself is in good condition. There were a few areas in the fairways with dirt or dead grass, but nothing that significantly impacted play, especially since those areas aren’t typically landing zones.
For the price point, the quality of the course definitely stands out. I would absolutely recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a quick nine-hole round without sacrificing overall course conditions.
Great for kicking back and smacking a few balls.
This course was really fun. I loved the driving range, high-tech great way to prove your swing and see your distances. The staff was friendly and nice. The pace was a bit slow. The greens were nice. If you want to keep improving your swing and have fun this is your spot. I can’t wait for the restaurant to get built.
