About
The golf course at the Sun City Country Club provides a challenging championship course in an elegant setting. The semi-private course has a tight layout with fairways that are lined with trees and bushes. The trees provide plenty of shade, a welcome asset on sunny days. The greens play at medium speed and they are consistently in good condition. Several of the greens are elevated and sloped. A water hazard comes into play on three holes on the course. The seventh, a 153-yard, par-3, hole is the signature hole. It requires a tee shot over water that has to carry at least 125 yards. The upscale Sun City Country Club offers fine dining options as well as an experienced and helpful on-site golf pro.

Very high grass
It’s very hard to find your balls in the rough and some parts of the fairway. Some of the older guys will take your balls if you’re not paying attention. Make sure you put distinctive marks on your balls.

Nice layout
Overall great experience playing the course. Fairways are a bit weedy, but not surprising for this time of the year. Rough will swallow your ball, so keep it on the short stuff.

Summer Conditions
It is summer and living in Phx you have to take that into consideration. The rough was overgrown. The fairway was patchy with clumps of crap grass growing everywhere. The greens were in decent shape but slow. Even with summer conditions a little disappointing. I’d have to give it a C+.

Slow play
Good course great stuff pace of play was slower today the 4 some in front of us needed to learn golf educate 15 min a hole is unacceptable.

Bumpy Greens
It’s Summer. Lots of courses are not in the best condition. Be aware the green are bumpy. Some bare spots on greens and around course.

Sleeper in The Valley
This course is a little shorter than most but is a great layout. Conditions for mid July were very good. Highly recommend you get out there and play it.

Great condition, fun round of golf
First time playing here and it far exceeded my expectations (especially considering it's July in Arizona). Greens we're in great shape and didn't have a single bad fairway lie. Pace of play was great as well. Clubhouse staff were very friendly and helpful. I'll be back again soon for sure.

Summer is hard on Phoenix area golf courses
This golf course did not transition very well from winter grass. I’ve played here for over 30 years and it is the worst condition I’ve seen in the middle of the summer. Greens were surprisingly good but rather slow. I still really like SCCC and will continue to play it

A Favorite of mind
This is one course that I play when ever I can. Been Playing here for years now, course and management has been improved over time. Play can be slow at times, but over all a fun course to play a round of golf. Recommended
