About
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

green were in great condition. The rest of the course, pretty bad.
Excellent value for the money.
Play this course quite often when I come to town. Always in good shape and price is right.
Nice track, but definitely needs an upgrade. Tee boxes very problematic. Several tee boxes were sloped without a flat lie. Sand traps were mostly dirt. Greens held nicely and rolled consistently.
A fun layout
This course has some great character-lots of trees and enough water to keep you honest. Course in nice shape for pre-winter seeding and it’s great to see they’re spending money on the course with dead tree removal etc…Now it just needs a clubhouse. We’ll definitely be back after the winter grass cycle is over.

That’s why I am going back another day. It’s a great course for the money.
fair and fast
gettin ready for overseed, but in very good shape, this is the best grass of the year, always a shame to have to tear it up.
fairways were barren, the rough was worse, rocks and dirt. greens had been aerated a month or so ago so they were shaggy bumpy and slow. Tee boxes were in the same shape. Course layout was wide open. perhaps in winter or spring it may be in better shape but not in the summer or end of summer/fall.
Dad's home course 20 years ago when it was a country club
For the $ it was a great value. Greens were a little slow but they read true. Fairways were in need of water; the ball rolled a lot. We had a good time; played with 2 guys that knew the course. Pace of play was around 4 hours.
Hopeful for the future
This is a very old facility that has not been updated in years. Golf carts are falling apart and your options for refreshments are pre packaged snacks. Greens and fairways were average but it is close to overseed so I am hoping those issues will be addressed.
What can I say
If you want to play a round instead of putting time on the driving range, this is the perfect place. Decent coarse with no time of play pressure at all.

Hi Scott - Since you're review, new ownership has invested heavily to make Union Hills better. We've replaced all the carts with a brand new fleet, removed the dead trees on the course, treated all fairways and tee boxes to reduce weeds and bare spots, renovated both the indoor and outdoor eating areas, and redid the parking lot to bring all cars/players closer to the pro shop. It's the same place yet totally different at the same time. Hope you'll come see us again soon!
