Grandview Golf Course at Sun City West
About
Grandview Golf Course may be little known, but it provides a good challenge for players of all abilities. Although the course is relatively demanding, it is suitable for most players and there are also four sets of tee boxes to adapt the game to different skill levels or handicaps. There is a variety of different sand bunkers that golfers need to watch out for as well as water hazards that come into play on four holes. The signature hole is the par-5 13th hole, which is challenging not only due to its lengthiness but also because it requires an approach shot over water.

Great course for the price. The best course at SunCity. Excellent for beginners but also for all golfers. Under 20$, it's a deal ! I liked to play this course.
Great Value in Phoenix area
In its category, this golf club is a jewel. The price / quality ratio is excellent. I believe that everyone should play in this place.
Impressed
This was my first time playing Grandview. Pass by it all the time and always tell myself, I'm going to play there.
I was very pleased with the condition of the course, given this is the middle of the summer, and most courses have burned up greens and dead spots in the fairways. Not Grandview.
Tee boxes are in great shape, level, few divots.
Fairways are lush and wide, just the right amount of rough if you miss them.
Bunkers are well manicured and playable, should you find yourself there.
Greens are in very good shape, not too slow, but definitely not fast greens.
The gentleman in the pro shop was very friendly and provided a lot of information about the course.
The course gets long on the back 9, starting with 13. They throw in a creek and a separated fairway as well, so be ready.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Just wish it could have been about 20 degrees cooler outside!
Thanks Grandview.
great course and value
This was my first time here and I must say I was quite impressed. The greens were smooth and the fairways actually had grass! This course is all about the greens. Fairways are the widest I've played but greens are well protected by sand bunkers and deep hollows. The staff was very pleasant. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that in 108 degrees there seemed to be only 1 water fountain per 9 and on the front nine it didn't work. So stock up on liquids and go enjoy this gem of a course.

The course was in great shape. Some of the other courses I have played recently are starting to brown out on the fairways and greens. This course had only one minor spot where there was a small brown area.
Course is in excellent condition
Played as a twosome in 3 1/4 hrs. Fairways and
greens were in excellent condition for this time of year. No brown outs on either. Bunkers had sand
and raked nicely even in the afternoon. All staff members very friendly and helpful. A nice variety
of holes. Both long and short pars, plus water in
play but also room to avoid. Challenging but will
not beat you up.
Excellent Summer value
Where else in the valley can you spend $21 for an excellent 18 holes of golf.....
A good challenge
Grandview is a quality course that challenges you in many ways. It has pretty good length, a lot of bunkers and dips and undulations that challenge your pitching and chipping abilities. The only failing I saw was the lack of sand depth and the crustiness of the bunkers. The practice bunkers seem much better to hit out of than the bunkers on the course. All in all an excellent course.
This course was great laid out
Had a great time golfing and the course was changeling but still fun
Great Expierence
It was my first time to play the course. I had a wonderful round of golf. The course is beautiful, great condition, extremely friendly staff, a great price. I can't wait to play there again.
Great shape
Big difference in course maintenance between Sun City and Sun City Grand. The greens, the fairways, the rough were impeccable, not always in Sun City. The greens were very receptive and rolled true. Only complaint is you could hit a great drive and end up with a challenging lie.
good course
I liked the lay out the practice area not the best but ok.
very well maintain
Nice course with great greens and faiways, stay out of the rough its hard and will make your game not fun at all, if great deal comes on will play again
Good Sun City course
Good day had by all. They wanted to get us out early, but my party wasn't all there yet, no worries. Bunkers were not consistent, some had sand, some had hard pan. Back 9 has tougher greens, more slope & undulation. Although the course is listed on the card under 6800 from the tips, the math does not equate. Had a good day and so will you for the right price.
Course has nice layout
Fairways and Greens look nice but they were rock hard, if you miss the fairway your hitting off of dirt. Nice layout though and friendly staff.
Fun Course
I played this course with a hot time on Saturday at 145pm. I was able to play as a single which was surprising. The course is very challenging and was made more challenging by the windy conditions on this day. The variety of holes and ability to hit different clubs off the tee made it a good experience. The greens were in great shape but don't really hold a shot. The fairways and tee boxes were lush and in great condition. The sand traps were consistent through the round.
My only negative for the course was the outside services. I did not see a beverage cart and the course only has two drinking fountains and two bathrooms for the entire course. I can understand the restroom but would like to see more water provided on an AZ course.
Overall the course is a great value and in great condition.
EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE
GREAT EXPERIENCE-FIRST TIME HERE AND REALLY ENJOYED EVERY ASPECT OF THE DAY.
This course makes you think on every hole.
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Bunkers need some work as we had a heavy rain the weekend before and the all the bunkers had a hard crust on the top witch made them unplayable. They could have use some maintenance.
Hidden Gem
I almost hesitated to write this review for fear a lot of golfers would find it and crowd this course. As a local, this course has to be one of the best values in the valley. The conditions are excellent (except sand texture). The greens are in very good condition and very challenging. The course design is not like your typical residential course or retirement courses. No hole is alike. The home are there, but they don't really come in to pay, even with the wildest shots. Fair amount of water. This is definately my new winter course. Can't beat the quality for the price.
