Grandview Golf Course at Sun City West
About
Grandview Golf Course may be little known, but it provides a good challenge for players of all abilities. Although the course is relatively demanding, it is suitable for most players and there are also four sets of tee boxes to adapt the game to different skill levels or handicaps. There is a variety of different sand bunkers that golfers need to watch out for as well as water hazards that come into play on four holes. The signature hole is the par-5 13th hole, which is challenging not only due to its lengthiness but also because it requires an approach shot over water.

One of the best in the NW Valley
great grass, greens, tee box, sand and challenges....nothing better in the area
Beautiful Afternoon
Some friends and I wanted to sneak out and play some golf at a course I've played many times. With it being peak season and all the snowbirds back in town finding a good deal as well as a good test of golf, Grandview fits this bill perfectly. If your willing to pay the bigger bucks you can go between 8:00 AM to about 12:30 PM for $57.00 a player. If you don't mind waiting till after 1:30 PM the price drops to about $39.00 a person. The course was in good shape with a really fun lay-out. The greens were a little slow but that's to be expected at this time of the year. The gentlemen working in the Pro shop work their tails off ... this place is pretty busy, and pace of play was okay about 4 hours & 15 minutes. A little under staffed in the restaurant so it takes a little time to get food or an ice cold beer, but we enjoyed ourselves. I know I'll be playing it a bunch more through the winter, sincerely Vince S
This course is good test!
Playing from the white tees the course plays just shy of 6400 yards and is a solid test of your ball striking ability. Although the fairways are at times generous there is plenty of sand and water to give one pause to reconsider your club selection. Greens are excellent and the whole course is very well maintained. The Pro Shop staff are friendly and represent the club very well!
Great condition, unusually quiet
Tees go from 5800 to 6400. A combo tee of 6000-6100 would be good
Wow!
The course was in fantastic shape. The ladies at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The greens were the best I have played on in Arizona. Brush up on your sand trap play as there is sand and water everywhere. They obviously take great care of the course.
Some interesting holes
Enjoyed the day, had some interesting holes, staff friendly.
Great local course
This course is fun to play with generous fairways but plenty of bunkers and water requiring some shot management. The course conditions were very good with friendly staff. The restaurant closes at 3pm (Off Season) and there is limited water stations so plan accordingly. There is golf training academy located on site. This course is definitely worth a try.
Grandview GREAT COMBINATION
The course is always in great shape. If I could putt I'd be dangerous. The Pro Shop Staff is very friendly. Great place to enjoy a round of golf.
fun and challenging
Grandview is one of my favorite courses in the valley. the par 5 13th hole is a different layout forcing you to hit the ball in 3 different directions. the par 4 14th is very challenging. the course is always in very good condition (even in summer).
lay out is great
great grass , greens hold very good for this time of year would play again
Great Track
Particularly for a public run course, Grandview is top drawer. Lots of traps and great greens. Great value now, but probably difficult to get on during the season.
Play it when you can!
Great experience
Friendly staff. Great playing partners. Course was in great condition. Challenging but fair
Will definitely play again.
Always in good shape
Grandview is always in great shape, challenging and fun to play.
good for the weekender
the layout meanders through the houses to give it a nice feel. the only bad part is near the end where it runs along grand ave and the traffic noise is pretty bad.
the course is fair but can penalize you for a poor shot. bunkering is in the way but manageable. one note, the sand in the bunkers really needs to be worked. i was in one and it was like playing from the parking lot.
overall, it is a good course and is in ok shape for this time of year.
Grandview
The course is in great shape with challenges on the water holes.
Lots of bunkers
Hi there, this coarse was in great condition. Staff was great and willing to help in any way possible. Played late in the afternoon and there was no o e on the coarse to hold up play. We even had a single catch up to us and we just let him play threw. Overall we had a great experience and will play there again.
Solid Layout
First time playing here. Got a last minute tee time for a twosome and for $15 each it was a great deal. The course was in great shape. The greens have some nice undulations to keep things interesting. The bunkers were pretty crusty, however. I was pleased to only find one of them. The pace pf play was pretty brutal and was expected as it was a holiday afternoon, but the foursome in front of us was the slowest group I have ever encountered in 35 years of golf. They could have easily waved us through on each of the first 6 holes but chose not too and there was no course staff in sight to move things along. At one point my buddy and I played a hole twice because of how slow they were and then we still had to wait to tee off even after. so we just skipped a hole and drove right by them and there was not a group in sight for the rest of the round. Otherwise a great day on the links and for the price you can't beat it. We will definitely play this course again.
Nice Layout!`
Greens a little slow late in the day (expected). WILL BE BACK!
