Grandview Golf Course at Sun City West

About
Grandview Golf Course may be little known, but it provides a good challenge for players of all abilities. Although the course is relatively demanding, it is suitable for most players and there are also four sets of tee boxes to adapt the game to different skill levels or handicaps. There is a variety of different sand bunkers that golfers need to watch out for as well as water hazards that come into play on four holes. The signature hole is the par-5 13th hole, which is challenging not only due to its lengthiness but also because it requires an approach shot over water.

Lots of bunkers
Hi there, this coarse was in great condition. Staff was great and willing to help in any way possible. Played late in the afternoon and there was no o e on the coarse to hold up play. We even had a single catch up to us and we just let him play threw. Overall we had a great experience and will play there again.
Solid Layout
First time playing here. Got a last minute tee time for a twosome and for $15 each it was a great deal. The course was in great shape. The greens have some nice undulations to keep things interesting. The bunkers were pretty crusty, however. I was pleased to only find one of them. The pace pf play was pretty brutal and was expected as it was a holiday afternoon, but the foursome in front of us was the slowest group I have ever encountered in 35 years of golf. They could have easily waved us through on each of the first 6 holes but chose not too and there was no course staff in sight to move things along. At one point my buddy and I played a hole twice because of how slow they were and then we still had to wait to tee off even after. so we just skipped a hole and drove right by them and there was not a group in sight for the rest of the round. Otherwise a great day on the links and for the price you can't beat it. We will definitely play this course again.
Nice Layout!`
Greens a little slow late in the day (expected). WILL BE BACK!
Great course
A fun course to play. Challenging but not overwhelming. Lots of bunkers. Sand needs to be replaced. Excited to go back.
it was grand
Good day on a great corce. will play here again.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY
The course was in OK shape and it was challenging and nice scenery, however the people playing there were extremely much older and played very slow and were so rude, it made our experience there one of our worst. the play was so slow we could not enjoy the course at all. I never saw a course marshal so I suppose thats why the extremely slow play. The greens were OK and the fairways as well and the scenery was nice, about an average course however not near as terrible and miserable as pueblo el mirage golf course, the people playing there were so unpleasant or otherwise rude, we will not return to this course to play. The staff seemed either overwhelmed or just too busy to make us feel welcome there. on another note, the chipping area was next to the extremely busy roadway which made it unpleasant to practice chipping.

Nice Course... but bring your own cup!
I've played here in the past and always liked the conditions. This time they were even better! Greens and fairways excellent. The white tees at 6365 yards is challenging in length (next tee down is 5805 yards). Considering this is a retirement area, they might want to consider combo tees??? Great value on range balls (other than complimentary) at $1 for about 20 balls! With such a great value, why do they charge you 10 cents for a styrofoam cup? Bring your own! Pace was a little slow (4.5 hours). No marshal. GolfNow finally has a decent price. Thanks!
Course is fine
The course was good and fun to play but the club house, carts and driving range below average. Was Del Webb course and I live in Del Webb are in Chicago, Huntley but this club house especially needs an update and not full of half off golf clothes and shoppers all over the place. Carts had no ice chest in the hot weather and should have already been recycled. Will not play here again for same price can play Karsten in Tempe
Grandview
Had to stop after 12 holes, time/pace of play. Had
a prior commitment to attend. Enjoyed experience,
Marshall was very helpful, friendly, trying to keep
pace of play going.
Was pretty windy which made play a bit more challenging, liked the experience.
Would definitely play again.
Awesome shape, best course in Sun City West
We have played this course several times. It is by far the nicest course in Sun City West. The fairways and greens are excellent. It is a very difficult golf course, especially for women. The women's tees do not offer much advantage distance wise. There are good reasons why the LPGA Legends play this course every year in the Walgreens Charity Classic.
Enjoyed this course.
Good track, well-maintained, good greens, interesting layout. Very busy course and we were 4.5 hours but that's standard for Phoenix in March. A highlight of the round was seeing an enormous hawk land beside the green where we were putting, and he watched us until we finished. We will play this course again.
Enjoyed our round
Basic course but fun to play. Greens were in poor condition, cut short and patchy.
Nice Courese......SLOOOOOOWWW Greens!!&
Course was in pretty nice shape, however, putting on the greens was like putting on SHAG CARPET!!!! But the staff was more than friendly and extremely helpful, it was a beautiful day and the experience was overall pleasurable!

Grandview is it traditional mature track. Back nine better than front in condition and hole layout. Restaurant/bar really jumps with activity!
Good value golf experience
The course was in good shape and is well set up for a range of golfers. Enjoyed a nice round at a very reasonable cost but the beverage cart was a no show. Next outing I'll remember to bring a cooler.
Great day of golf
The course was in excellent shape and offers some challenges for golfers of all levels. The staff was friendly and efficient. All in all a very enjoyable day.
Avoid the beach
The only thing disappointing about the course was the quality of the sand traps, or should I say hard pan pebbles.
Great round
Friendly people,nice course...Played in 3 hours...Will do again..
Friendly - Good Value - Carts Terrible
Really enjoyed the round and staff were really friendly but the golf carts are pitiful. Will think twice before going again until they upgrade their golf carts!
Value Sun City golf
I played Grandview late on a Sunday after work around 2:45. Not too many people were out on the course and I didn't run in to anybody until the 17th hole.
The course was in awesome shape. Tee boxes were all level and lush with minimal divot marks. The fairways had very few divots and no dead or brown spots. The weather in the Phoenix area has been awesome and I haven't seen the summer conditions on golf courses yet. The greens were a pleasure to putt on. They accepted shots all day long, were very consistent speed wise, and had not bad spots on them. I haven't played a lot of golf in the last few months but I think this course was the best conditioned I have seen.
The course has some challenging holes. Many of the greens are very well protected with mounding and collection areas. Some of the par 4s from the back tees present a challenge as do the shorter par 4s.
The customer service was awesome. Two ladies at the counter acted ecstatic for me to be playing there. They thanked me multiple times for coming out and invited me to play until sundown if I wanted to. Range balls are still $1 for about 15 balls. F&B prices seem to be from 1985. You aren't going to have someone at the front to take your clubs or clean them at the end of the round but the course is fun for someone looking to go play golf. I paid $28 to play and it was an absolute deal. I'm sure this course is busy in the morning but for a late afternoon round it's a good choice.
