Deer Valley Golf Course at Sun City West
About
Deer Valley Golf Course offers a challenging game that will test golfers of all skill levels. The course has a beautiful rolling terrain with over 800 palm trees sprinkled throughout, providing a nice landscape but they can also affect shots since they border nearly all of the greens on the golf course. There are also sand bunkers that guard some of the greens, which are large, undulating, and oftentimes difficult to read. In addition, five of the greens are double-tiered. Ten ponds are situated on the course, coming into play on five holes. There are also some dogleg fairways to add to the difficulty at Deer Valley.

Nice Course
Windy and rainy day so did not get to finish. but fun course. good condition. will definitely play it again when I can.
My new favourite course
This was my first time playing this track and I was very impressed. Keeping in mind that it has the typical off fairway “dead grass” the remainder of the course was awesome. The fairways were excellent and wide/forgiving for your stray tee shots while the greens were in great shape with some challenging pin placements. Of the four championship courses in this area this is the one I want to play over and over again.
Outstanding Golf Course
My favorite course in Sun City West. Only hiccup is pace a bit slow (r4 hours). Wouldn't change a thing besides that.
Nice Long Course
Had a great time. Good prices at the range and for concessions. Probably better to use a cart here.
Great Course
5th time playing Deer Valley. The best course in Sun City West, Arizona. The staff are very friendly. Couldn't find anything negative to say.
Deer Valley Best Value
Best course I've played in the Sun City West area. Combining great discount offered by GolfNow, weather, course condition, it was an absolutely gorgeous day. Course offers just enough challenge for the novice golfer. Greens and fairways are very forgiving.

Facilities were fine $16.00 cart rental - WHY? Group 2 ahead of us took 10 minutes to complete their putting Marshall did not do anything 4.5 hour round on a nice day
Marshall needs to do more than tell groups about color flag placement or error color on the green he was glued to his cart seat.

Walking rate
The price listed can be deceptive if you don't notice that is for walking only. An additional $16 per person for cart rental is too much. You are better off playing nicer courses for the price you would pay with the cart. The tee boxes and fairways are in good condition. The fairways are a bit thin, but it is green. It was very difficult to try to spin or flop a shot up as most lies were the equivalent to a tight lie. All of the greens are raised and the apron is always wet. Anything landing on the apron will not run up. They stop dead. The greens vary in speed from one to the next, none of them were consistent.

Did you rent a cart? If so, that's why you were charged. If you didn't, then why did you pay it?
