Palms Golf Course at Oakwood Country Club

The course was in good condition, fairly easy to play and a good value for your money, but the guys working the pro shop were ridiculously rude and unhelpful. We had never played the course before and we received no instruction on where carts were, if we got warmup balls and every time we asked questions we received short annoyed answers. Wouldn't go back purely based on the rudeness of staff.

Oakwood remains one of the best courses for overall conditions and value in the valley.Only complaint is the sand traps need more sand instead of compact dirt.

Just a horrible course. So many old people they should've called it retirement facility not country club. The clubs my father rented looked like Jesus himself used them.

The Lakes Course is somewhat challenging as it has a lot of water ponds on it but the back nine on the Palms Course was more open. The staff were very courteous and the weather was great.

Enjoyed our game of golf. Course was in good shape particularly the greens.

august hot, but still a lot of fun. Fairways are wide open but in good shape. Course has good greens, well maintained traps and water holes.

My friend and I had a great time playing the Sonoran / Lakes course. The course was in great shape, with a good variety of challenges.

Oakwood is currently undertaking a bunch of upgrades & has 9 of the 27 holes closed. The other 18 is in really poor shape. If you pay 15.00 it's a pretty good deal. Anything higher & it's not a very good value for the money.

The round was good. It is great for an amateur. There are some tough holes, but the course played very fair.

Course was in decent shape, staff was friendly. Played by myself and finished 18 in less than 2 hrs.

THE COURSE WAS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION TEMPE WAS 108 SO NOT MANY ON COURSE AT NOON WHEN WE STARTED. GREENS ARE VERY NICE FOR THE HEAT OF AZ. OVERALL CERY GOOD CONDITION AND PLAY

I teed off at 12.30 and had the course to myself. The staff was helpful and courteous. Even though the hot weather has arrived the course was still in pretty good condition and the greens were true.

A very fun course to play & the staff was very nice.

The Lakes course has very challenging and interesting Par 3's, fun or frustrating.

Although the clerk at check in was not very attentive and we never saw the drink cart, the course was in great condition and play pace was perfect. We will definitely be back.

I loved the condition of the greens at this time of the year...fast and smooth. Sand traps could use more sand, but overall, it's a nice value for the money. Definitely will come back soon.

First opportunity to play Oakwood and was favorably impressed. Super staff and nice facilities. Condition was very good considering the amount of play they get except for the sand??? traps. Very hard and not much sand. Fairways nice and greens very good and true but fast. Couple of the hole positions were inappropriate for amateur play being situated in the middle of a severe slope. Not much fun to 4 putt.

First time playing this course, very nice course, looking forward to playing it again sometime. Played the Lakes 9 for the first 9 and the Palms 9 for the second 9 holes. I really enjoyed my time there.

Course is in good shape and greens all run true and even speed.
Wide fairways and a fair amount of water, but its placed in places that you have to really mishit a ball to find it most of the time.

Only drawback I noticed is there is no beverage service on the course.......so bring your own water or sports drink unless you want to be really thirsty by the end of 9 holes.
