Springfield Golf Resort

Never played this track and now I know why. Short course and in AWFUL condition. Green boxes are bad; fairways were terrible. Greens were rough shape but they were recently punched so I give that a pass. It was relatively cheap and still not worth it. Don’t play here. Trust me!

There are no par 5’s and there are only two par 4’s on the back 9. If you’re fine with a small course however, this course is great. I’ve never been to a course with more friendly staff, and the carts were next level; nice cushion leather seats and a screen display showing yardages for many different things. It was a good course, I just wasn’t a fan of it having no par 5’s.

The course was great in the coolere months however in the hot month like June the course was being a"Aerated" amd there was so much sand on the green I though we were at the beach. I have played other courses during their aration but not this bad. The course is great just not right now. I would definetely play it agian once the grass on the green is grown in.

The course conditions were very poor. Specifically, the greens were the worst greens I have played on in my 4 years living in Arizona. It’s like there was diseased grass, or even no grass in large areas of every green. Also, the sand bunkers had new sand, which is always soft. However, they liiked like thet were raked with a hoe. No attention to being manicured. The price was low but I believe there should have been a notification on Golf Now regarding the green conditions.

A great round as always at Springfield. Temps were up so the course was clear. Finished 18 in just over 2 hours..

For what it is it’s an ok place to get in a round inexpensively. The range is atrocious, they would be better off on mats. Range balls are very reasonable. The greens are sketchy and poor quality at best. If they could improve the range and the greens this would be a nice executive course. And they need a Marshall to move pace of play along. It’s ok to be bad at golf but do it quickly. Staff is very friendly and professional.

Fun layout. Can’t complain about no sand in sand traps (plenty of sand compared to other courses in this price range) but, the cornrow deep trenches left by maintenance rakes add an extra challenge. Several dead spots on the course and you will find sand in spots that should be grass that will kill what should’ve been a decent shot. Staff in Pro Shop are friendly, nice little restaurant, driving range are mats like most comparable courses. Has a decent feel overall. Will play this course again especially if I find a special. You will have a very tough time getting tee time when the Winter Residents are in town.

We were paired with a couple of highschool seniors and the round could not been more fun!! After the round we ate at the Grille and had great service by Betty.

We enjoy golfing here. The staff in the pro shop as well as the bar are friendly. The pro shop is filled with great gear and they were able to regrip my putter overnight.

We golf here at on a regular basis and the bucket of balls are inexpensive. Love that the carts have GPS.
