Good Value For The Price
Aberdeen Country Club was a very nice course for our first round of the year. The course was in really good shape for the time of season. Fairways were good and the greens were green, just extremely slow (the slowest I have ever played). The greens were as slow as the 2 groups of older gentlemen in front of us. Glad to see them out playing, but we waited on 95% of our shots as we were pushed buy groups behind us because of daylight (we teed off at 2:00 PM). The club house was closed was locked when we left and it was only 6:15 PM so we couldn’t use the restroom nor get some drinks. All in all, a very nice day golfing. Would definitely play again.
Challenging
Nice enough with good challenges. Greens were slow but in good shape. Fairways are OK.
Aberdeen...Not in Missouri
I made the t-time online several days in advance....I happen to look at the email confirmation the morning of our round and saw I made the t-time for Aberdeen Golf Club in Missouri....Scrambled a bit and made a t-time at the correct Aberdeen ( North Myrtle Beach) course. Sounded like a common occurrence according to the starter....It was worth a few laughs... FYI..... The greens were in EXCELLENT shape!
Review from a New Englander
Very nice course and in great shape for the time of year. Good value and challenging play.
Aberdeen
Course was in excellent shape. Very fast round today.
Aberdeen
We saw 2 other groups in the course. Pending weather kept other golfers away. Course was in great shape. O
Staff needs to step up
Nice course, Not many playing, so pace was great. Only fly in the ointment is the staff…. Compared to other courses, these guys are less than welcoming.
Enjoyable Round of ⛳
Great Course conditions and the Greens are Super, very Enjoyable Round of ⛳

Enjoyable course. Open fairways, some mounding on sides. Greens in good shape. Trees not a problem.
Bottom of my list.
Although I'm from out of state, I've now played 38 courses on the Grand Strand and I rank Aberdeen at the bottom of my list. Beginning with the gruff bag drop attendant who didn't bother to close my vehicle hatch, to the pro shop that had trouble explaining why I owed more than what GolfNow had indicated to the chipping and putting greens that are tiny and poorly manicured, my early impressions were negative. To be fair, the starter (only friendly person I met) warned us that it would be "hit and wait". But this experience was painful for the first 9 holes. On our 6th hole, there was a group on the green, another in the fairway, two groups waiting on the tee and another walking off the prior green. After the turn, it began to speed up. I believe the pace was due to them starting players on the front and back at the same time plus we never saw a marshal. Somewhere up ahead, a group was dragging along and was painfully slow. Regarding course conditions, it was "fair". Greens in decent shape although a bit slow and inconsistent. Rough kind of patchy. Fairways were "ok" for the most part.
Very Disappointing
Annual trip to MB. 12 guys, Some for 20 years. Times booked thru local company. Aberdeen made the rotation. I wish I had read some of the reviews prior to our trip. According to course staff they recently reopened after flooding from a hurricane. Probably should have waited until next year. Multiple greens were re-sodded. So new that the piles of old sod were still on the course. Course should have not been opened. So much new sod on multiple greens it was like putting on a shag carpet. Good luck if you book it. Hope you have a better experience. As for us, we will not be back.
Good but overpriced for condition
Course was nice but greens and fairways were terrible. Had to play 3 different courses due to holes being closed and many greens barely had any sod. Great $40 course but not worth $70.
Expected better greens
Played here for the first time in a while. Arrived and staff was friendly. Disappointed when I went to pay and saw a sign that was apologizing for the Green conditions. The sign was being considerate to say the least. From a course appearance, everything looked good, less the greens. I'll give them another try but not sure when. I understand needing to continue to charge while they corrected the issue but should have offered a rain check to come back and check them out when conditions have improved.
