About
Wolf Run Golf Club is one of south Reno's most popular courses. The course is situated amid the Sierra Foothills, tumbling across a picturesque desert landscape sprinkled with native flora. The layout has many risk-reward opportunities and the par-3 holes are especially fun. The hilly terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing some tricky uneven lies and there is a meandering creek that slithers along the fairways. Though it's wide open, the golf course requires a bit of accuracy and some good course management. The elevated tees offer some spectacular views as well as some intimidating approaches to the fast, undulating greens. In addition to the golf course, Wolf Run also has a practice facility with a driving range and putting and chipping greens. You can also get your clubs repaired on site.

Great for March
Of course conditions are actually very good for this time of year and the snow that they had a couple weeks ago. No complaints there. We played the first nine holes in two hours. It was wonderful. We played the back nine in two hours and 45 minutes because they let them fly some play, which really slow that pace . .
Really good shape for February
Temps in the high 50s. Great day.
Greens are firm and fast. Considering it's winter, was pleasantly surprised how receptive they are. But still very slick with the mountain effect.
Greens are TOO FAST!
I like Wolf Run a lot - great value - but I wish they had marshals every day since sometimes play is slow. Also, the greens have become stupid fast...maybe that's the fault of the recent cold weather, but they are way too fast for a public course that isn't hosting some big tournament!

GET Marshalls out there!
I like Wolf Run. Yesterday was a mess though as it was too crowded in one set of holes with a FIVE-some holding up everybody behind them. FIVE-SOMES should be clearly instructed to let people pass when they are allowed to play which I don't think they EVER should be. I went back a few holes and played them over and finally was able to move along. It was stupid windy which didn't help and that, of course, isn't the course's fault. GET MARSHALLS that do their job!
Where are the Marshalls?
I like Wolf Run, but it was a cold weekday and the pace was dreadfully slow... WHERE are the marshalls? A five-some was ignoring those waiting waiting and WAITING. A fivesome?
Fun course
As always, Wolf Run doesn’t disappoint. The amenities are good, the staff friendly and the course, like all mountain courses in winter, was mostly brown but the greens are in excellent shape. The weather is the key. When it’s cloudy and windy, it challenges you in different ways than when it’s calm and sunny. Golfers of any level will find the course fun but challenging.
Too Slow!
I like this course but having a five-some in front of my two-some was extremely annoying on a day where the course was relatively quiet@ WHERE are the marshals? NONE!
The best value for the price!
Wolf run is the best course. It has tricky challenging holes and some easy ones.
The key word for this round is: BEST VALUE FOR YOUR $!
Play before 11 am so you get the best weather and avoid windy conditions!
Cold but great
35 degrees at the start but the conditions were just fine. Greens were quick but fair. We were a twosome behind a foursome but things moved just fine. We putted to the second hole on each green for practice. The day turned out sunny but cool, but was a great day.

Challenging course, but very fun. The greens are super tough to read but all in all a great day.
First time
Arrived early and was able to tee off earlier than set tee time.. started on back 9 . Meet up with one of the employees of the course and played the 18 with him..
he gave me some course management knowledge..
Tee boxes were excellent shape as the fairways.. greens were fast and hard for me to read ..
