Wolf Run Golf Club

This course has several elevated tees, thick roughs very well kept fairways and greens. I played on an extremely windy day but I still enjoyed the course and beautiful scenery.

I am planning on going back to Reno Nevada ( living in Sacramento Ca) in June or July and will definitely play this course again.

Got great green fees from Golf Now.

I will recommend this course with all my friends in Idaho?

I am a 20 handicap. We were here for USBC BOwling tourney, they have free club rental if you show your USBC card. Nice clubs, last year's model, but no 5 iron. Instead they had a couple hybrids. Early season so fairways being re-seeded which is the only black Mark. Fairways hard and ran, roughs good, greens ran smooth.

None of the holes have markers for distance or arrows to next tee. Can be very confusing and hard to follow course. Great course however

Often and well are the missing words. You must know the yardage of you sticks. Lay-ups needed on some holes. Some greens have slopes that will test you. Pars are good for the average players. Birdies, smile and move on to the next hole because there is a lot more golf to be played on this course.
Most of all pick a tee box and have fun.

This course did not have any water to drink. Very hard to walk a course without drinking water. The one fountain they did have on the course did not work.

I had to come out to Reno for work and picked a course based on the GolfNow ratings. I was glad these ratings are so accurate. I had a fantastic time playing Wolf Run. First off, the scenery is great. You're playing in the valley between two mountain ranges. One of these is brown, but the other has snow capped mountains. Pretty wild to think that I was playing in shorts while people 15 minutes away were skiing. The golf itself wasn't terribly difficult. Tee to green is pretty straight forward. Fairly open course that doesn't penalize you if you can control any unwanted movement on your shot. A creek runs throughout the course that makes you think about a lot of shots, whether you want to carry it or lay up. The greens were quick, and had some great undulations.
All in all, I had a great time playing here and would recommend it to anyone looking to play while in the Reno area.

Had an 8 am tee time, everything was great! It did not look like they had cut the greens that day as they were very slow, bit it's early in the year so better slow now then dead later. Actually played by myself with a twosome ahead of me which was fine, I played two balls so really got 36 for the price of 18! Carts have gps which sometimes was giving yardage to wrong hole so take a rangefinder if you have one cause there are no sprinkler heads marked. Fun course, good value, very attractive female head pro.

We were doubled up with another couple and had a fabulous time. Great course, great staff, great golf.

Course is in good shape after the winter, though several areas of fairway are in need or attention and the staff is attending to them. Greens are excellent, punched 4 weeks prior. Still a temp. green on 9 but looks like it will be open soon. Good bloody mary !

Fun day, course is still a little rough coming out of the winter, which is to be expected. Had one temporary green and some newly reseeded areas. Had recently rained/snowed so the greens were a little thick but putted ok. Good price on the green fees and hardly anyone there in the partly cloudy, moderately windy conditions so was a quick round and well worth it. Looking forward to playing again.

nice coarse great views in great shape for so early in the year

We walked 18 in late March and the weather was beautiful. Course condition was good although there were some areas being seeded. I enjoyed the variety of holes and the great views late in the day.

Very interesting course that uses the natural contours of land to make the course challenging. There are things to carry but the landing area are good size and the distance is fair if you are playing from the correct tees for you.

This course has a good amount of challenge to it and has alwAys been taken good care of. Now that it's on GolfNow with a discount available, I will be there a lot more this year!

For the winter to be as dry as it has I thought the course was is in good shape the fairways gave u great lies to come in to the greens. The gps on the golf carts made playing the course for the first time much easier on club selection. I will play this course again the next time I'm in Reno

Challenging course with lots of hazards. It will take you a couple of times to learn the layout and how to play the holes.
