Los Lagos Golf Course

We had a 3:54 Tee-Time but ended up arriving 10 minutes late due to traffic accident on the 101. Andrew ended up getting us on within 15 minutes.

We were very appreciative that he was able to get us on so quickly.

The only issue we had that day was David, who handles cleaning the golf carts was rude and probably shouldn't have ear buds in when working in a position when customers are going to be talking to him.

Poor teebox, weird course layout for hole to hole, horrible cart paths, random ppl just driving around on your fairway, poor pace of play, for being top 5 public course in SJ was kinda disappointed.

This course has had a major overhaul in the past couple of years with change of management and a serious shift to bring the condos toon back up to "par". For a rate between $70-$80 the value of the course is definitely here for the money. Being in south San Jose it is amazing how well the fairways, greens and tee boxes are in such good condition.

I was paired with a nice gentleman and two high school players who were just getting into the game which made the match tempo a little slower than admired, but pleasurable nonetheless. It was nice to see the youth getting out there and enjoying playing the game which seems to be accepted at this course with open arms.

Greens and undulations seem smoothish for putting and the fairway is very ideal for catching a good mid iron or fairway wood shot (at least at time of this round). Due to the dryness of San Jose it is almost impossible to achieve premium short iron and wedge feel, but LL does a great job with mitigating this issue.

If this course wasn't laid out the way it is where you need to cross the bridge four times to play a full 18 I would mark it much higher in quality and efficiently. Otherwise go and play this course for yourself and see if you can shoot a good score...it's not easy by any means.

Well laid out executive course. I used every club in my bag. Bunkers could use some TLC, greens were rolling well and true. It’s a fun course to play.but keep up the pace and you can have a round in the books in less than 4 hours.

Overall had an awesome time! Great course and solid value, only bummer was they had just sanded the greens on most of the holes so that made it tough :/ was pretty crowded too but that's expected for a Saturday in May. Definitely recommend just will check next time if the greens have been sanded!

This review is only for this last time I played. The course itself was in good condition. Except for the greens. They aerated all of them, which is fine. It needs to be done.

However, on top of the grass was a thick layer of sand. Not just parts of it, but the whole green.

It was difficult to read the green due to all the sand that would cause your ball to bounce all over the place. Getting the speed right was also chore.

I wish they would have told us up front that they did this. At least give everyone a break on the green fees.

It was a surprise that the greens on the back 9 were repaired and sanded. It should notice on the website and also give discount rate.

For being a city course its got everything you need to play some golf.

The range is good and the course has some really fun holes and for less than a standard 72 par course it has its challenging holes.

I visit the kids and grandkids a few times a year and I always seem to end up playing Los Lagos once per visit

I recommend playing at Los Lagos. It's a very Nice and well kept course

The only disappointment I had was the front desk forgot to inform me that there was a high school group a head of me. One of the high school coaches came by a told me to skip rhe next three holes 2, 3 and 4, but I never got back to them. I joined another group in front of me.
