Brickshire Golf Club

This was my first time at this course and I was not disappointed. It had rained heavily the day before so the course was very wet, but by midday it was drying out nicely.

Greens were in great shape and very challenging. Will be playing this course again.

Got the first tee time on Monday morning and the weather was perfect! The course is starting to come alive as the Bermuda grass is still a bit dormant but you can tell it is about ready to pop with green! The greens must have just been treated with a thin layer of sand but due to the morning due, it was sticking to the golf ball. Kind of to be expected for this time of year as the course is prepping for the upcoming season. Being the first out on the course, didn't have to worry about the pace of play, but everything was awesome! Look forward to playing again soon!

Good for the price.

Nice, varied, entertaining layout. Very good condition for late March. Several risk-reward holes. Good number of tee box options.

Staff was friendly, offered a number of tips - such as where to hit on several holes - to counter fairway slope or to get a better view of the green.

Greens were not overly large, rolled true and at good speed.

I will certainly play again.

This is the second time I’ve played Brickshire. The first time was in the summer when everything was lush and green. Hard to beat that... however, considering what time of year it is, and the location, the course was in good shape. The greens were soft, and a little slow. There was definitely no bump and runs onto the greens, but once you knew that, it was just a minor adjustment. We had a really good time. We teed off just before 1 p.m. and never so much as saw another golfer.... that alone was worth the money! The amenities and staff were great! I’ll definitely keep coming back here for years to come.

This place has come a long way over the last year. Personally I love this course the layout is great challenging but now overwhelming. Fairways on 9 and 18 looked like a dumpster fire last year now they look awesome. The only thing that need work is the bunkers they have drainage problems in more than a few and they need sand in a lot of them but other than that this place is truly a hidden gem

It was very cold but still had a great time. Overall course was in good shape and the greens were just fine! No issues here! Play here a couple times a month and will keep coming back! Thanks again for a good time!

Glad we played the course with regulars or we would have gotten in trouble on a couple holes. I don't mind hilly terrain but I do like to see where I'm going and that wasn't the case of some holes. The back nine was closed so we played the front nine twice. The tee, especially the forward tee, on the third is badly misplaced and the unsuspecting visiting golfer would likely hit what he thought was a good shot and end up in the woods. Also thought the shortish fifth hole was a bit sever with a fairway having a huge slope to it. The two par 3's we played weren't long but were very demanding. I didn't dislike the course but didn't get the replica labeled holes which were not signature holes the average golfer would be familiar with. It is a misleading promotion for those in my thinking.

Place was in great shape. We will be coming back for sure.

Played this course it was in good shape even with recent storms.

However be prepared for a hard day.

Very challenging.

Most fairways are uneven your lie is always on a serious elevation making it a long hard day.

The course was intriguing in its design and a memorable experience from our vacation rounds of golf in Va.

Playing this course as an out of towner. Layout of the course was fantastic. Tree lined holes, strategic bunkering, very few blind shots. I really enjoyed playing the course. I’m a 7 handicap, played from the burgundy tees, 6700, and shot my best round ever 72. That being said the course was in pretty poor condition. The fairways were in good shape with the exception of 9 and 18 which were basically unplayable. A lot of the rough was in pretty bad shape. I heard from the locals that a lot of courses were beat up from the winter so maybe this was typical. The greens were about average. Very soft, lots of bumps and unfixed ball marks. The food in the clubhouse was good and the staff was pretty friendly. Overall for $35 online it wasn’t bad. Don’t know if I’d play here again. I heard the local HOA was taking over the course. Hopefully they do good things and keep the conditions up and it would turn out to be a fantastic course. As it stands now, average to slightly below.

Very nice for a slicer like myself... second shot was very challenging but manageable

Course was still in great shape after all the rain VA has gotten lately. The 4 of us played in 4 hours so the pace was excellent. Greens in great shape, no issues at all. Playing on Sunday for $25 on a very nice course is always nice too.
