About
Carved from Stafford County's rolling, emerald green hills, Augustine Golf Club plays across a scenic landscape abundant with mature pines and hardwoods. The pristine white bunkers and the lush fairways contrast nicely with the trees. The course conveniently sits just 30 miles from the Washington Beltway. In 2011 when the golf course was acquired by Raspberry Golf Management, who are responsible for several courses in the area, Augustine underwent major renovations that increased its playability. The greens, fairways, rough, bunkers, and tee boxes were all redone. The layout offers a challenge but is gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Included in a round of golf at Augustine are range balls and unlimited use of the driving range, which has different targets and a large putting green.

Beautiful course in excellent condition
The greens here are fantastic. I wish more courses had greens that put this well. The front side was walk in but the course was in great shape. Hope to get back there again soon. We were behind two men who must have been trying to tie the record for the slowest round. Once we got past them it was marvelous.
Beautiful greens
I have played there many times. I know that at this time of year Fairways arand rough are getting dormant. The greens, however were perfect. Bright green and receptive. Absolutely love the course layout.
Worst pace of play I have ever seen at course
Me and friends have played course over 30+ times over the years.From when they lost control of greens and fairways, but we always came back. We left after 13 hole- It took 3hrs and 45 minutes to get thru 13 holes.
Where was the Captain at !! He send us off but did not see him again- he always pushes pace of play.
Only say 2 guys from course on 12 and they said pace of play was OK - have never seen them before.
Not sure if we will ever go back- Captain missed you on course and cigar
A Really Enjoyable Round
Started a bit chilly (temperature and swing) but the course itself was in great condition and the staff very pleasant. It is obvious that quite a bit of work has been put into the course. No com plaints whatsoever. I would recommend this course to friends and hope to return for another round or 2 soon.
A Long Day
The course was in very good condition except the bunkers (they need some sand and maintenance). Staff is fantastic and Bruce the starter a great guy. Pace of play was miserable at 5 hours 20 minutes (for a twosome half of the round. We started with 3 but it was so slow our partner couldn't finish). Did not see a Marshal the entire round but the beverage cart was great. Maybe it was slow because it was a Friday. I would recommend this course if in the Stafford area (during the week).
Pleasantly Surprised
The roughs were a bit too rough, but the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Pace of play was fantastic, and the staff (starter/cart attendant) was very friendly and personable. This course has come a long way since early spring, and I would recommend stopping by for a round.
New home course
My new home course, played for my first time after getting lessons from my coach, head PGA instructor here ,Ron. The fairways are very hard, lots of bounce on shots. God forbid you get in the rough, it’s very thick. I lost a few balls just because I couldn’t find my ball in this stuff, my group also had similar issues. The greens are fast and deceiving, you think it’s going to break but it rolls straight. Club house is awesome it really reminds me of a private club. Oh last thing, BEST carts I’ve ever used at a course… besides some courses I’ve been to in Myrtle beach.
Good looking course
Sand traps did not have very much sand in them, very hard.
Overall the course was great. Tee box's were really well maintained. Only downside of the course was the bunkers. They were in bad shape. But hey. Just don't hit in them.
Crab grass
Way too much crab grass. Greens were nice but slow. Great layout. Bunkers were hard pan. Course has great potential.
The best greens anywhere
Great layout , nearly perfect greens with not too many sidehill putts . Traps need sand and some bald dirt in rough areas . Fairways good but not great. Staff is very friendly and helpful . Will play again, great course
