Bring your straight ball
Bring your A game cause this course is very challenging. The Ike is longer but this course is tougher and it is not short. It's just a bit shorter than Ike. I can almost guarantee you'll shoot a better score on Ike than the Babe.
That said the course is great. This place has really improved to first class conditions. Best condition I've ever seen the course. Greens roll really well. Bunkers are groomed. Fairways are green with no dirt patches. This is country club quality. But hold your hat cause this course will challenge every part of your game.
Stunning
Great mountain views, lots of elevation changes, and perfect course condition. The only downside was that groupings were not ideal. I was a single rider and there were a number of walking groups holding me and many others back. Nevertheless, you can't beat the views.
The "Babe" course was pleasantly surprising
Our annual golf tour of destinations in California included our last round being played at Industry Hills Golf Club on the Zaharias Course. Narrow, hilly, wooded, and really, just beautiful. The Par 3's over water and up hills were fun to play. Everything looks a little longer that it is. I never took driver out of the bag. Since ours was a tournament, kudos to the staff that ran it. It was efficient and we got our round in right at 5 hours. The greens were putting true. Can't wait to play it again.
SlowGreen
Wow Green was very slow slow fairway was good
Great course Babe
The couse was in good condition, a couple greens they were working on and on hole 3 they had a temporary green. Other than that it was a fun course to play. Fairways are nice couple burnt areas not much and a couple mud spots. The views that you get are amazing. The couse is sweet, challenging but fair. I would have no issue playing here again. Would love to play the Ike course. Only problem is you can take the carts to hit balls. So before you go to starter hit up the range. It is a bit of a walk away.
Need maintain for the greens.
There were definitely dry spots throughout the fairway. Greens poor conditions cause lots of hole.pace of play was good.
Very poorly maintained golf course
I live only 5 minutes away and considered this is my home course. I have played at least 40-45 rounds in 2015 & 2016. It used to be be great condition course, the green is good fast speed and in good condition. The tee boxes were well maintained!
Unfortunately, everything is going downhill. Every time I come back, it gets worse! I do not mind the condition if this is a municipal course but this is a RESORT COURSE! It's supposed to be resort condition if you are collecting resort type of fee!!!
1) Tee Boxes are super bad. Cannot even find an even and grass to tee off!
2) Green is super slow, not cut and no one fixes the ball marks! Some green are with brown patches!
3) Fairway also no consistent but still acceptable.
Green is the most important and if a course have a bad green, they might as well close it down.
Great value and challenge for your money!
Firstly, the entire resort is an incredibly luxurious experience with friendly staff and top notch amenities. The Babe course is shorter and more technical than the Ike and is extremely challenging off the tee for the first few holes. The GPS system should be utilized to navigate the obscured views on many tee shots. Hitting the fairway is critical to set up an unobstructed approach to the sticky, undulating greens which roll slower than expected. Course condition is excellent and many scenic photo opportunities present themselves early in the round and before returning to the club house.
Great conditions
Played the Babe... Great conditions. Would like to play again soon....
Best course in LA
The course layout and conditions make this the best course In the LA areas. Majority of holes are hidden and gives you the feeling that each hole was created with purpose and individually, no Micky mouse holes either, straight forward and pleasing to the eye. It may cost more than most will pay for, but if you do decide to fork over the extra cash, you'll enjoy your round...just bring extra golf balls, this will be the toughest course you'll play in LA.
Best in Area!
I've played many courses around the country and highly recommend both the Ike and Babe Courses at Industry Hills. My only complaint is the pace of play! High handicappers trying to play a course which requires shaping shots not a good combination for speed of play!
Course was in excellent condition.
From the tees all the way to the greens the course was in excellent condition. We completed our round in about 4 hours.
Best course open to the public in Los Angeles
Excellent staff that always seems like the same employees for years. They know you by name. 1st tee starter, great guy. Perfect conditions. Miss the fairways? Looking at a double or higher, have to respect this course or it will eat you alive. Love it! Great place to play. And the food forget about the best!
Great Course
This course was in perfect condition with fariways and bunkers. Unfortunately they just aerated the greens that week which made for a tougher/untrue round. But, this course had green grass and very well kept for California conditions. Highly recommend playing the Ike course. It's a little easier of the two but still challenging. Beautiful views on most holes also. Great course to play for golfers of all skills.
Best Course in SoCal under $100
Disclaimer: Was able to get a tee time for $70 on a Friday through GolfNow; rack rate is $110 on the weekend in the morning.
Man, I haven't played a course that green and lush in SoCal in years. Course is in excellent shape, played at a decent pace (somehow the twosome in front of our threesome was holding us up...) and a challenging lay-out. 100% coming back.
F Hills un at the Babe
The Babe was fun but very challenging. The course was in very good condition. Pace of play was good.
The staff at Industry Hills are always helpful.
This course is awesome
Been playing this course for many years...just love it! Very challenging course, greens are fast and always in great shape! One of my favorite courses!
Never disappoints........
While the greens were recently punched, I'll give IHPR Babe course a pass.
Because every previous round I've played here have been excellent green and fairway conditions!
It's just an outstanding layout!
Greens....
This babe course has super slow greens.....for the price...I rather play somewhere else
