Canyon Lakes Golf Course & Brewery

Course has such a nice layout but it is not well maintained. Too bad. Bathrooms were also disgusting especially on #6. Ugh. Check me on owner. Get it up to speed. Used to be great course.

The pace of play was slow and was worse after 9 holes because a couple “cut” in front of us at the 10th hole. It appeared that they decided to start at hole #10 rather than waiting their turn on #1. If there was a starter, this would not have happened.

It would have been nice to play in better conditions but understand that we have a water shortage and difficult to hire people. Refreshments at the turn should be more easily accessible. No one was at the bar to take orders.

The course condition is much improved from the last round I played here almost a year ago. The bunkers have nice and soft sand that I felt like throwing some balls in there just to play some sand shots. The pace of play was good on the day I played (Tuesday) although I have to wait a bit on some holes. The staff at the pro shop was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience.

I've golfed here a number of times over the years. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and condition of the greens however the rest of the mowed areas of the course are needing attention. Also, there was a lot of goose droppings throughout the course, although mostly on the front 9. I wouldn't spend a ton of money here, but it was good to play here again.

Nice course and well maintained. I will definitely come back again!
