About
Maderas Golf Club is one of San Diego's most popular courses. Although it is less than an hour from Torrey Pines, it has a stunning landscape and challenging design that rivals that of the famed seaside course. Maderas may not have the ocean views, but its beautiful landscape provides just as much scenery. Nestled inland amongst rolling hills, the golf course weaves through rocky cliffs and outcroppings. There are mature trees throughout as well as a meandering creek and over forty acres of native wildflowers. There are three sparkling lakes and five waterfalls that come into play on the course. The demanding layout features difficult greens that are large and lightning fast. Several tricky uphill and downhill lies can be found throughout Maderas Golf Club thanks to the hilly terrain.

Great Course
The course is in great condition. Course is challenging but fair without being over 7000, unless you play from the tips. Billy goat golf. Picturesque diversity of elevated fairways, greens, rolling hills, cliffs with creeks. You have to think your way around the course. With fees of over $200, it could be considered pricy.
Facilities are stellar, and staff is welcoming and courteous. Highly enjoyable round
AS Advertised!
Simply as good as it gets (before private clubs); sincere welcome by everyone, 1st class customer service/info/starter....range, greens, tee boxes, fairways all pristine -- and the VIEWS are simply stunning. Just go pay whatever and play it -- you will NOT be let down!!
Aesthetically Pleasing
Played this track about five times. Took my better half here for the first time. We spent months going to the driving range (working on her new irons). I very much wanted her to see the course and not focus on the difficulty of the track (my second favorite in San Diego). She absolutely loved the place!!!

Tough
This was my first time playing it…local knowledge would be very helpful. Put away your driver and take what the course gives you. Don’t be a hero.

Perfect Conditions
This course definitely has the best maintenance and conditions in San Diego right now. For that, I love coming here.
However, I don’t understand the purpose of the bag fees. Especially when the staff is asking for tips. They should just not have a bag fee when the staff are holding their hands out for tips.
Maderas
Maderas is one of the top 3 courses in San Diego, public or private. Always immaculate. Great layout.
Wonderful Course
This by far was one of my favorite courses to play in San Diego area. If you are a golfer and looking for a beautiful but challenging course this is a must play. I would play here again, and again, and again. Love, love, love it!!!

Great Conditions
Course was totally worth $100. It’s tough to find tee times around that price there though. Would play it more if more were available in that range.
Awesome, except...
Almost everything was top notch! Course conditions, pace of play, the staff, speed of greens were all great. It's a small thing, but they are the only course we have played that charges an additional service fee on top of what I paid online. This hidden fee was not revealed when I booked and paid online
