Not worth $34
Course is in terrible shape. Worth half the price at most
Greens mostly ok. Four in rough shape. Rest of the course normal for a country track. Carts not good, mine had no parking brake.
Overbooked
Had to wait on carts-very hot day and found out it had been overbooked
Surprisingly worth playing
This course built in 1972 was obviously once an outstanding course. Today it offers greens that are in reasonably good shape and the layout of the course is wonderful. If you have unlimited money - skip this course as Charlotte offers so many great courses. But for the money, this course is worth playing. While it is in need of maintenance, it is still very playable and offers an outstanding value for the price. I had a great time working on my approach shots and shaping my tee shots. Many tee shots are highly challenging from the blues. Two great par 3 requiring 170-180 yard carries over water. Just show up with the right expectations and you'll enjoy your round.
Worst Golf Course Ever
I have been playing golf for 10 years. I wanted to play last minute at a public course near Charlotte. I saw Pinetuck was open. It was a huge mistake driving out there. The grass looks like it had not been cut in years. You would miss a drive in the rough and couldn't find your ball because the grass was so high. Greens were horrible. Tight tee shots for no reason. Pinetuck should change their name to PineSUCK.
Just awful
If you’re somewhat of a good player do not play here
Much improved
They've done a lot of work on the greens since the last time I played here a few weeks ago. Some damaged areas on several greens were replaced with new grass. The greens appeared to have been aerated somewhat recently as well but not recently enough that it impacted putting at all. I was able to snag a Hot Deal rate and it was a bargain. I know it's easy to write bad reviews but please balance your expectations. You can't have Augusta National-level grooming when a Hot Deal green fee goes for 19 bucks. This course is what it is, a great, local place to have fun without breaking the bank. On a side note, my twosome was able to play 18 well under three hours. You can't complain about the pace of play.
Very run down course
Golf cart had no brakes…sand traps taking over with grass and weeds…greens and fairways in horrible shape…clubhouse grounds and clubhouse in horrible condition…I got to hole 13 and had a flat tire on my cart…horrible!
Worst Shape Ever
My son and I played this course for the first time in almost a year. The greens here have always been above average until now. The greens were below average and the rest of the course fairways, cart paths, golf carts and clubhouse were in poor condition. We will not play this course for at least another year while hoping improvements will be made.
Good course, awesome layout, needs better greens. For what it is and the cost, can’t beat it.
