Good ole boys course
I love to play here when I can. Typically not very busy and the staff was friendly. But the course could use some work but I understand that without the proper income it could be hard. Has a beautiful layout and some challenging holes and the greens are in good shape for the most part except for a few holes where there are bare spots on the greens . Overall a good course to play if you don't mind a couple of weeds and overgrown grass in the rough. But I do think that the weekend rate is a little high for the quality of the course conditions
Pinetuck
The pace of play was amazing considering it was a Saturday morning. Me and one other golfer completed 18 holes in under 3 hours. Conditions were as follows:
Tee boxes were decent
Fairways were hit and miss (some decent some so so)
Greens were decent
All in all worth it due to pace of play and overall decent course for $38 on weekend though golfnow.
Would play again.
Relaxed atmosphere
Booked off golfnow for a 2:04 tee time. Showed up an hour and a half early. The gentlemen wouldn't let me pay the difference yet he let us go early. Course is In decent shape but the people in the clubhouse make it worth going.
Nice golf adventure
Good fairway maintenance, greens very good for this time of year. Challenging layout.
Overpriced
$25 golfnow to play 18 is far to expensive. Even worse is the 37 standard rate for a walkin. Greens are very poor, no one has ever fixed a ball mark. Hard to distinguish between fairway and rough. Value elsewhere for the same price is better
Not bad for the price
First time playing fairways running a little thick but overall a great course to play on
Good all around course
Nothing special but for the price its good. Fairways are wide open, greens are in good shape. Pace of play is great, that's mostly what I care about. The course is not in perfect condition but its good enough for an amateur.
Great for the value
We selected this course for the price and location. The group that I was in didn't want the typical course with 9,000 houses lined up every hole, personally that is very tacky and takes away from the beauty of the landscape (I give a high rating for the natural setting with woods and water features). The course offers a challenging and peaceful setting without the background of outrageously over priced, ritzy, wealthy, greedy jerks that think their stuff doesn't stink, to which we were glad none of that type of persons were out there. The true essence of just getting out and hitting some balls with the guys type of day. I'd play this course again for the quiet slow relaxing no pressure area and be able to breath the air, we were glad to be able to take time with our shot and have no one pushing from behind, and no one holding us up. Sure I can say there were some course issue that needed to be addressed, bare spots in the fairways, tee offs minor trim work but that was the least of our worries, and that's not how I judge a course. So if you're looking for a quiet spot to escape for a few hours this the place.
Always a good time
The greens were fast. The farways were forgiving. The tee boxes still needs some work, they are still hard as rocks and hard to put plastic tees in. Still it was a great time.
Close the Doors
So I pull into the parking lot and see a completely run down club house. I then get out and take a look around. Practice green is ok. I go to check in, and the gentleman behind counter does not even say hello. I let him know my tee time and ask him if they carry logo balls. His response is no we haven't carried them in years. This is a little disappointing to me since I collect them for each course I play. O well, lets continue, I get a range token of which most every ball is covered in dirt and look like they have been there since they opened the course. Some of the balls the dimples are worn off. The range hitting area basically has no grass to hit off of, so lets go play some golf " I guess". At this point I am just about ready to just say forget it and I would have if I did not drive 45 minutes to get here. So about the course,
Tee boxes- just about every one did not have any grass to hit off of, I rarely hit from the markers for this reason.
Fairways- again hardly any grass around
Greens- the best thing on the course and they were in better than poor condition.
I almost forgot the golf carts, most of them had broken windshield's and the first one I took did not even have brakes.
So I think it is quite obvious I will never play here again and would highly recommend you don't as well.
