Go literally anywhere else
This course unfortunately needs a couple million dollars worth of renovations to even be decent. The greens are unputtable (worst I have ever seen), the bunkers have zero sand and are weeds, tee boxes and fairways are lumpy and patchy. I wouldn’t play here again if it was free. If they ripped out all the greens and redid them, the course may be worth $40 greens fees. Find a different course to play, you’ll thank me later.
Cheap Golf Like Entertainment
This course needs more work than I could list, but suffice it to say, get a really good deal online if you can and make the best of it. The pace was very slow, which made the round even more challenging to enjoy. Would I recommend this course to a friend? Yes, but with a lot of explanation as to what to expect. It is a lot like playing real golf, but just don't overexpect.
Slow Improvement
I decided to go back and play a round to see what was happening at the course. Although there is much more improvement to be made, they are making some progress. The practice green has been halved, but they have patched in grass to make it functional. As it grows in this could be nice. It’s hard to tell about fairways as everything is dormant, so time will tell. Some greens are very rough, but others you can see where they are working on them. It’s nice to see some progress and hopefully this continues. I plan to go back.
Needs work and could be really good
Stopped by and played while passing through. The staff was very friendly and it was not busy. The course itself was in very very rough shape. The carts are in really rough shape, cart paths, most fairways and greens were really bad. You could see where they are trying to rehab some greens. With a lot of TLC this could be a very nice little course tucked away in the pines. Had some tight fairways which is a good challenge. I hope the owner can turn this place around. Had fun though despite the shortcomings mentioned.
Great Course!
I only gave the course condition 3 stars because the greens looked like they had maybe some gopher or mole issues. Other than that detail this course is amazing. It has its challenging parts and is great for beginners that are learning course management. The back 9 had a lot of holes that had a risky path and a safe path to par for a beginner
Great hidden course
It's an older course but I can see great changes coming from the new owner. This place is beautiful laid back and COMING UP! You never know what celebrity golfer you may see there????!!! Can't wait to play again, still learning this sport but the people I met there were amazing!
Course is good for practicing. Greens are in terrible condition.
5 Stars in my Heart
If you’ve played here in the past you know what to expect. If you’re looking for perfect fairways and greens and all around great conditions, this is not the place for you. However, if you’re looking for a great time with the boys this is the spot. Conditions are questionable but their recent maintenance has left it in much better shape than earlier this summer. Always the friendliest gentlemen in the Pro Shop to come through with the hot dogs. Layout is amazing there’s hardly any parallel holes. It’s a gem past its prime, but it’s always a fun time if you’re able to manage your expectations.
