About
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon offers two 18-hole championship courses, the Legends and the Champions. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gorgoncio and San Jacinto Mountains, both courses have a scenic landscape that offers stunning views. The Legends Course is the newer of the two but it provides just as challenging a game as the Champions, which is a PGA Tour favorite. The Legends twists and turns through the winding elevations, demanding accuracy throughout. Like its sister golf course, there are numerous steep-lipped bunkers treacherously placed along the greensides. The rough is also tall, thick, and unforgiving. The tricky par-3 fourth hole is played from the highest point on the property. From the tee, the canyon seems more intimidating but the wildly sloped green is where the challenge begins.

Awesome condition
The Legends Course is always fun & challenging. The fairways are lush with very few bare spots. The rough is consistent and thick.
The bunkers are consistent- but have a lot of small rocks in them. I gouged one of my wedges hitting out of one.
Greens were fast when putting with the grain.
Course Condition
The tee boxes need work . Not flat. The sand traps are dirt. Don't mess your clubs in there. The fair ways were ok . The greens need a lot of work . One green had a running sink hole in it.
Better Than Expected
This course is a gem. Everything about the golf was fantastic. From the tee boxes to the fairways and rough to the greens were all in great shape. The only negative about the whole experience was that the restaurant/lounge was not open. I will definitely be back to play here again.
Slow Sunday
I’ve played many times; if lucky you can play a normal pace. Today was very slow, we were three playing behind a very slow, struggling twosome with NO golf etiquette. Nevertheless I love the Legends side!
Stay out of the “sand”
Everything, except for the “sand”, is awesome here. The pits are filled with rocks though
Cut the brush please
The Good : Fairways were in nice condition. Greens were recovering fine from recent punching.
The Bad : I would not refer to bunkers on this course. They are more like dirt holes where the dirt is hard as concrete. Also, maintenance needs to be done to cut back overgrown brush that line the cart path. It would be a easy thing to do to improve the golfing experience.
No warning or punched and heavily seeded greens. Bunker very rocky.
We traveled far enough and I paid for 3 colleagues only to realize how poor the conditions were. It was embarrassing for me and my company!
Overall great time. Greens could be better
Tee boxes not bad. Fairways are beautiful. Greens recently punched but still roll pretty true. Layout is awesome. Cart girl came around 3 times which came in clutch bc there’s no turnaround so make sure to eat before or bring food if your expecting to eat on the turn. I will be coming back tho.
