Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon - Legends Course

The greens were great, rolled true but needed to be read correctly. Created a challenge. The holes are challenging with many doglegs and blind shots along with bunkers in the middle of the fairways that you need to navigate around. However the fairways were in terrible shape. Dead grass in many areas, uneven and very bumpy, as if it hadn’t been mowed in a long time. The bunkers were pure raked mud, there wasn’t a grain of sand in any of the bunkers. A number of bunkers had water setting in them which would have made them unplayable.

I would hope that the Morongo Indian Tribe would want to keep this golf course in immaculate condition but I guess they don’t care about it.

Have played here before. Course In Poor poor shape. Very dry and lots of dirt fairway to hit off. Owners should do better. Also we're on hole 4 short par 3. Workers just got done working sand trap area. Left without raking trap left lots of footprints. Hole was in front of trap so players had good chance to end up in trap. Not good workers

The course was in pretty good condition. Bunkers are not great...no sand and tons of rocks. Greens were in pretty good shape for end of July.

Improve the bunkers. One hole had growing grass/weeds in most if not all bunkers. Loosen all bunkers in lieu of hard packed dirt.

The Legends is just a good layout for the middle handicapper (Not Champions) course is in summer shape, still really green. Rough is a bit long and very sticky and hitting rough makes course a LOT longer. Fairway bunkers are in terrible shape, may want to bring a weed puller with you it you tend to land in them. (owners would be wish to bull doze down mounds and bring in sod and make fairway bunkers grass bunkers something most public courses should consider) For us the course is just a fun layout and we can accept most conditions. Maybe a little too pricey for current shape but so are most courses now.

Bunkers are hard as rock. Cart path is not well maintained. There is overgrown shrubbery and beer bottles along the cart path. Greens are littered with pitch marks. Staff was friendly, though. Would not recommend in current condition.

Went here with a group of 4 players. It was our first time here, and it was a great experience. The practice facility was great, carts were well maintained with GPS and Bluetooth, staff was friendly, and the course was in excellent condition. We played the Legends course, and it was challenging, but not overly tough. Greens are perfect…minus the occasional lazy player that doesn’t repair their ball marks. We will definitely be back again.

The course was in good shape, and the layout is great. However, there isn’t any sand in the bunkers, and it felt like we were hitting out of cement.
