Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon - Legends Course

I have enjoyed playing here over the last 20 years. I am hoping it is a maintenance issue but today, I was really disappointed by the bunkers on the Legends course. No real sand and they looked like raked, clumpy dirt. A good number of bunkers were not draining and they were mini lakes. Any ball in a greenside bunker was a guaranteed penalty shot because it's pretty difficult to clear a 10 foot lip off hard packed dirt and get it close or control spin. I will not play here again in this condition.

Course was in good condition other that Tukwets infamous decomposed granite bunkers. The greens and fairways were great and the pace of play was good

They overbook the tee times and then ran out of range balls by 2:00. How pathetic is that. Most people like to warm up and hit a few balls before they start their round. Not here apparently. Should have kept driving out to the desert and played a much better course with range balls. I will be from now on. Somebody needs to manage this better imo.

Played it two weeks ago and yesterday grains were punched probably a month ago. Large deep bunkers in front of most greens.

Three hours on the front nine and the back was even slower. Quit after twelve holes. It had already taken over a hour to play three holes. Friday’s are normally slow but this was crazy.

Inconsistent is the term I’d use to describe the Legends course. They wee great three wks ago; not so much now; very slow greens, wet/soggy fairways, and inconsistently mowed rough.

10 am tee time with 3 somes 5hrs. Really need to space out tee times.

Legends course is in good shape except for bunkers.

Overall the course was in great shape. Scoring was not difficult. The only negative was when playing the Legends course there is not a turn to pick drinks or food. A little wired.

Only fault is sandless bunkers; mostly dirt, rocks, and mud.; otherwise, great conditioning of greens, fairways, and roughs. Pace of play fantastic this particular day @ 11:00.
