Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon offers two 18-hole championship courses, the Legends and the Champions. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gorgoncio and San Jacinto Mountains, both courses have a scenic landscape that offers stunning views. The Legends Course is the newer of the two but it provides just as challenging a game as the Champions, which is a PGA Tour favorite. The Legends twists and turns through the winding elevations, demanding accuracy throughout. Like its sister golf course, there are numerous steep-lipped bunkers treacherously placed along the greensides. The rough is also tall, thick, and unforgiving. The tricky par-3 fourth hole is played from the highest point on the property. From the tee, the canyon seems more intimidating but the wildly sloped green is where the challenge begins.

Nice layout and greens

Really enjoyed my early morning round. The guys at the golf shop were great and really helped me out when I made an error with my tee time. Course is very scenic and in pretty good shape after all the rains. Greens were great. Would go back for sure

Just ok

Legends, tough course! Especially if the winds blowing! Play it safe and lay up super short every shot or forget about it ball nowhere to be found with a perfect shot. Bunkers filled with water if you roll in forget about it. Greens are true and super fast but with the water coming into factor with the recent rains just made things super tough. Very slow round on a Saturday. Over all if it wasn’t flooded and windy the day we played the day would’ve been a lot more fun and feasible. 3.7/5

Good be a lot better

Wish the Casino owners of this course would drive out to the desert, Eagle Falls, Indian Canyons South, or even Soboba, and take a good look at how those Casino owners (all Indians) take care of their courses. Maybe time to sell off or close one of the two courses and take care of one of them. Both courses are great layouts but it is very obvious there is not enough money put into the courses to call them any thing better than a average public golf course.

Course conditions

Grees we're great; smooth and consistent throughout. Tees poorly mowed, lumpy, and not flat. Fairways unevenly mowed, too high, and soggy with areas of standing water with 4 rainless days. Bunkers practically unplayable. What sandy dirt is there is crusty and hard as a rock whether green-side or fairway.
