About
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon offers two 18-hole championship courses, the Legends and the Champions. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gorgoncio and San Jacinto Mountains, both courses have a scenic landscape that offers stunning views. The Legends Course is the newer of the two but it provides just as challenging a game as the Champions, which is a PGA Tour favorite. The Legends twists and turns through the winding elevations, demanding accuracy throughout. Like its sister golf course, there are numerous steep-lipped bunkers treacherously placed along the greensides. The rough is also tall, thick, and unforgiving. The tricky par-3 fourth hole is played from the highest point on the property. From the tee, the canyon seems more intimidating but the wildly sloped green is where the challenge begins.

General conditions on Legends Course
High uncut fairways, terrible bunkers (rock hard, unranked, untrimmed, sandless), uneven, and some unmowed tees, no pace of play regulation.
Somewhat disappointed with conditions
I love the Morongo courses. My favorite is the Legends Course- which has been closed for about a year because of a bridge that needed to be rebuilt- and was just opened last week.
I have to say- the condition of the course was disappointing !!! The fairways were awesome and lush. The rough was very thick and uneven- maybe because of recent rains.
The horrible part was the bunkers. There was no sand- just dirt and rocks- and I’m talking concrete rocks- many embedded and not visible. Sadly- I damaged my wedge hitting a buried large rock- and hopefully it can be repaired. There were large weeds growing out of almost every bunker.
It looks like they did not do maintenance on this course while it was closed. Very disappointing after waiting so long to play this course again.
Everything about the golf course was fantastic. Only complaint is there were 2 staff workers I spoke to who were extremely rude when I asked each of them a simple question. I didn’t want to ruin my day out on the course as I drove over an hour to get there so I just walked away. Overall Staff should be courteous to its customers as we pay to play these rounds and don’t need anybody being rude just for asking a simple question. With that said I’ll be back but won’t communicate with staff I’ll leave that up to whoever I’m playing with that day.
Disappointment!
Sad. This used to be a Q-School Course and it has really gone downhill in the last few years. Staff are all young millineials who could care less about the customer! Fairways and greens are rarely watered. A shadow of its former glory...

course was rated 4.5 .stars but was in such poor condition would be hard pressed to give it a 1. Would never go back.

Hi I enjoyed my time playing this course recently. Played the back nine and it did take a good amount of time to drive out there but definitely would play here again. Beautiful mountain views and wide open fairways
Great value / under construction
Played 9 holes. Course is great, but getting to the 10th hole to begin was a 15 minute drive. I guess the front half is under construction for a fallen bridge. Staff & conditions were great.
They lied
I was told this was 18 hole course and ended up been 9. Total lied on golf now. Terrible experience . Drove for 1 hour.
