Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon offers two 18-hole championship courses, the Legends and the Champions. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gorgoncio and San Jacinto Mountains, both courses have a scenic landscape that offers stunning views. The Legends Course is the newer of the two but it provides just as challenging a game as the Champions, which is a PGA Tour favorite. The Legends twists and turns through the winding elevations, demanding accuracy throughout. Like its sister golf course, there are numerous steep-lipped bunkers treacherously placed along the greensides. The rough is also tall, thick, and unforgiving. The tricky par-3 fourth hole is played from the highest point on the property. From the tee, the canyon seems more intimidating but the wildly sloped green is where the challenge begins.

Back nine only

We had to drive our catrt for 25 minutes to reach the 10th hole of the back nine. Did not know we were only paying for 9 holes. We would not have booked if we had known. Course has 3 holes under construction. We were not informed until we arrived.

They should of had a staff member directing us to the proper hole to start our round. we took a wrong turn( not signs posted) and had to drive through the entire course to fin the 10th hole.

spent 40 minutes driving in the cart before we started playing

Greens were in fantastic shape

It’s a long drive to number 10 to start this 9 holes. I hope they repair 7, 8, and 9 soon.

Only the back nine is open.

Holes 7, 8, and 9 are closed, so you have to drive back to hole 10 and play 10-18. It’s a bit of a drive, but there was almost no one playing so the pace of play was great!

We went to Morongo Golf course on a Golf Now discount. Once the confirmation arrived in my mailbox, it said I paid for 9 holes. I did NOT pay for nine and going round and round with the Club House employee only made it worse by saying in reality we were only doing 6 because of a flooded and lost bridge situation. We wanted to play 18 so I gave in and paid more to double the six and add three in a convoluted (but fun!) detour. That’s why I didn’t give 5 stars. But I did give 5 (for a very apologetic staff) that would have done anything for us to play 18. Despite that kerfuffle the course is amazing! We had so much fun! Carts Blue-toothed in my phone music, the beverage cart gal was awesome and we’ll definitely play again. Legends course is awesome despite their hopefully temporary 3 hole loss condition.

Awfully managed, poor conditions

This course used to be awesome. Fun layout, prime conditions, and very scenic. Ever since it came under new ownership it’s gone to total crap. Legends isn’t even 18 full holes, it’s now “2 courses” broken up into a 6 hole course and 9 hole course. 10,11, and 12 are no more. When I asked why, they first told me those holes were under maintenance. Now I find out it’s permanently “2 courses”. What a waste of a great place. Will not be coming back for quite some time.

Horrible

Played a round got a cart that left me stranded. Called the pro shop no answer…. Had to get pushed in by another golfer and their cart. Worst round of golf I e ever had.

Tukwet Canyons Legends course

Fun to play!

but 3 holes still closed (7 thru 9)... Have to drive backwards from 18th green, takes ten to fifteen min golf cart ride to start on 10th hole to play back 9... though I'm glad they have the back 9 open at least, can't wait till they fix this situation...

Legends course is washed out, they only let you play 6 holes, or 9.

Legends course is washed out, they don't even mention it on Golf Now or their website, played their and paid for 6 holes, didn't even know. Wanted to at least play 9 after we found out and then they charged us another 25.00 dollars a player.
