Great condition
Hadn’t played in years but the condition was like a private club! Greens awesome!
No starter and golf shop was a bit sloppy
Terrible Pace of Play.
T was 1045, Teed off around 11:15 and ended our round 420. Longest round of golf ever.
Great Course and Value
Course was in great shape, friendly staff, the pace was very slow, but starters did what they could to space groups out. wish a marshall was out there to get people moving, but other than that best value on Golf Now I have spent in a while
Pace of play
Love the course but pace of play on the front nine was atrocious. We had a tee time at 730am and it took us 2 hours and 45 minutes to play nine holes. The Marshal saw us on hole 7 and apologized. He said there isn’t much he could do considering the tee times are set at 7 and 8 minutes apart on the weekend.
well maintained
Played at 11:00 on a Thursday, started alone and got through the first five holes quickly, then joined the group ahead and the round dragged out to 4.5 hours. I've heard tell of quick rounds on this course, but I've never experienced one. I wish I could understand why it's always so slow.
But, I have to admit the the conditions were excellent, especially the greens, which were in remarkable shape. Sometimes they are lightning fast on this course, especially above the hole, but they were quite reasonable for this round, and I had only 27 putts because the reads were so reliable.
It was a little weird never to see a drink cart, given how backed up play was, but other than that the staff were fine. Now that the pandemic surge has eased demand a bit, courses like Sierra Lakes have rediscovered a bit of their humility, and aren't taking customers for granted so much. Overall, this was one of my better experiences on this course, in spite of the slow play.
Sierra
Perfect time of the year to play this course. Greens and fairways were excellent. Weather was not too hot. One of the nicest courses to play.
Lazy
Had an 8 some playing best ball in front of my group. Reported to the shop, did not see anything being done about it.
Dissatisfied on Memorial weekend
I've played this course many times over the last twenty years. Never seen it in such bad shape. Also the staff behind the bar was very rude and unfriendly. Not what I expect when I pay big money for a course like Sierra Lakes.
